Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Ganesh GTW-30 CNC that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The GTW-30 CNC is a flat-bed, big-bore CNC lathe with a 30 in (760 mm) swing over the bed and a 6.69 in (170 mm) spindle bore. It is the kind of lathe used for pipe and long shaft work, where the job is to pass tube or bar through the headstock and cut threads or journals on the end.
Two spindles are offered. The standard A2-11 spindle is given as 30 - 1,000 rpm in the feature list, with 2 gear ranges, and develops 1,180 / 346 ft-lb (1,600 / 470 Nm) in low and high gear. The optional A2-15 spindle opens the bore to 10 in (255 mm), runs 18 - 600 rpm and raises torque to 1,475 / 442 ft-lb (2,000 / 600 Nm). Choosing between them is a matter of the largest pipe that must pass through.
The bed is 18 in (460 mm) wide across the ways and comes in center distances of 60, 80, 120 and 160 in. Turning diameter in front of the cross slide with the 8-station turret is 22 in (560 mm), and swing over the cross slide is 19 in (480 mm). The maker notes that turning length is 11 in less than Z travel with the standard 3-jaw chuck and turret. X travel is 19-5/8 in (500 mm) and rapids are 394 ipm (10 m/min).
Tooling is an 8-station hydraulic turret taking 1 in OD tools and 1.5 in bore ID holders. Dual turrets, front and rear of the cross slide, and a rear boring-bar holder are available. The tailstock has a 4.92 in (125 mm) quill with an MT-6 taper, positioned by hand with air assist. The control is a FANUC 0i-TF with FANUC axis and spindle drives. The table here carries no spindle motor rating, so confirm it when quoting.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The standard spindle has a 6.69 in (170 mm) bore on an A2-11 nose with taper roller bearings. A big-bore option with a 10 in (255 mm) bore on an A2-15 spindle is available. The big-bore spindle runs 18 - 600 rpm in 2 ranges: low 18 - 186 rpm and high 60 - 600 rpm.
02
With the 6-5/8 in bore spindle, torque is 1,180 ft-lb (1,600 Nm) in low gear and 346 ft-lb (470 Nm) in high gear. With the 10 in bore spindle it is 1,475 ft-lb (2,000 Nm) in low gear and 442 ft-lb (600 Nm) in high gear.
03
Expand Machinery lists center distances of 60, 80, 120 and 160 in. Z-axis travel depends on the bed chosen, and the maker notes that turning length is 11 in less than Z travel when the standard 3-jaw chuck and 8-station tool turret are fitted.
