Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hwacheon Hi-TECH 200 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Hwacheon Hi-TECH 200 is the entry size of the Hi-TECH turning centers: Ø350 mm (Ø13.8 in) maximum turning diameter over a Ø500 mm (Ø19.7 in) swing, with 381 to 401.5 mm (15.0 to 15.8 in) of turning length on the standard bed and 611 to 631.5 mm (24.1 to 24.9 in) on the L bed. Every version uses the same 18.5 / 15 kW (24.8 / 20.1 hp) spindle motor and a FANUC 0i-TF Plus control.
The letter after 200 decides chuck, speed and bar size. The 200A has an 8 in chuck on an A2-6 nose and is the fast one at 5,000 rpm, with Ø51 mm (Ø2.0 in) bar capacity. The 200B keeps the A2-6 nose and Ø75 mm (Ø3.0 in) bore but carries a 10 in chuck, takes Ø65 mm (Ø2.6 in) bar and runs to 3,500 rpm. The 200C moves to an A2-8 nose with a Ø90 mm (Ø3.5 in) bore and Ø130 mm (Ø5.1 in) front bearing, for Ø76 mm (Ø3.0 in) bar at 3,500 rpm. The turret has 12 stations on the A and B but 10 on the C, so the largest bar comes with the fewest tools.
The MC version adds a 3.7 / 2.2 kW (5.0 / 3.0 hp) live tool drive at up to 5,000 rpm, rated for Ø16 mm drills and M12 taps, and indexes C in 0.0001° steps. That is enough for cross holes, tapped holes and light flats, not for heavy milling. Turning diameter on the MC falls to Ø325 mm (Ø12.8 in) and turning length to 298 to 318.5 mm, or 528 to 548.5 mm on the L bed.
X travel is 195 mm (7.7 in) and Z travel 430 mm (16.9 in), or 660 mm (26.0 in) on the L bed, with 30 m/min (1,181 ipm) rapids on both axes. The turret indexes at 0.15 sec/step and takes □25 mm shanks and Ø40 mm boring bars. The tailstock quill is Ø80 mm (Ø3.1 in) with 100 mm (3.9 in) of travel and MT #4. The machine needs 30 kVA, weighs 4,450 to 4,800 kg (9,810 to 10,582 lb), or 5,050 to 5,400 kg (11,133 to 11,905 lb) for L versions, and occupies 2,645 x 1,675 mm (104.1 x 65.9 in), 2,875 mm (113.2 in) long on the L bed.
