How much does the Fermat WRF 130 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Fermat WRF 130 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Fermat WRF 130 opens Fermat's large floor-type series. It pairs a 130 mm (5.1 in) boring spindle with a ram that strokes 1,000 mm (39.4 in), or 1,200 mm (47.2 in) as an option, on a column that can travel 4,000 - 27,500 mm (157.5 - 1,082.7 in) along the bed.
Height is the first thing that separates it from the lighter floor-type model below it. Headstock travel in Y starts at 2,500 mm (98.4 in) and is offered in eight lengths up to 6,000 mm (236.2 in), so tall weldments, press frames and large casings can be machined top to bottom in one setup. Fermat equips the series with an operator's cabin that travels both horizontally and vertically, which is what makes work at that height practical to watch.
Of the three WRF sizes this one has the fastest spindle, 3,400 rpm with 4,000 rpm optional, and the smallest motors: 41/61.5 kW or 53/77.9 kW (S1/S6) with a Heidenhain or Siemens control. Torque is 2,099/3,149 Nm or 2,713/3,989 Nm. The WRF 150 moves to 58/86 kW and a 1,200 mm (47.2 in) standard ram.
Spindle travel in W is 800 mm (31.5 in). Rapid feed is 20,000 mm/min (787.4 ipm) in X, 15,000 mm/min (590.6 ipm) in Y and 10,000 mm/min (393.7 ipm) in Z and W. Rotary tables are optional accessories, listed from the T20 at 20,000 kg (44,092 lb) to the T100 at 100,000 kg (220,459 lb). A tilting headstock is also optional.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The WRF 150 has a 150 mm (5.9 in) spindle at 2,800 rpm, motors of 58/86 kW or 74/109 kW with Heidenhain or Siemens, a 1,200 mm (47.2 in) ram and 1,000 mm (39.4 in) of spindle travel. The WRF 130 has a 130 mm (5.1 in) spindle at 3,400 rpm, 41/61.5 kW or 53/77.9 kW, a 1,000 mm (39.4 in) ram and 800 mm (31.5 in) of spindle travel. X, Y and the rapid feeds are shared.
02
X is 4,000 - 27,500 mm (157.5 - 1,082.7 in). Y is one of 2,500 / 3,000 / 3,500 / 4,000 / 4,500 / 5,000 / 5,500 / 6,000 mm. The ram travels 1,000 mm (39.4 in) in Z, optionally 1,200 mm (47.2 in), and the spindle 800 mm (31.5 in) in W.
