Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Fermat WF 13/15 R (L) that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Fermat WF 13/15 R is the smaller of Fermat's floor-type horizontal boring mills. The column runs along a floor bed for 4,000 - 22,000 mm (157.5 - 866.1 in) of X, and the headstock carries a ram with a 130 or 150 mm (5.1/5.9 in) boring spindle inside it. The workpiece stays still on floor plates or on a separate rotary table, so part weight is a matter for the foundation and the table chosen, not for the machine's own axes.
Reach comes in two stages. The ram strokes 700 mm (27.6 in) in Z and the spindle extends another 800 mm (31.5 in) in W. In practice the ram does the milling, because it keeps the tool supported close to the headstock, and the spindle goes out when a bore has to be reached deep inside a casting. Vertical travel is chosen from 2,000/2,500/3,000/3,500 mm (78.7/98.4/118.1/137.8 in).
Spindle and drive data match the table-type WFT 13/15: SK 50, BIG+ or HSK100 tooling, 3,400 rpm with the 130 mm spindle or 3,000 rpm with the 150 mm one, and 41/61.5 kW or 53/77.9 kW (S1/S6) with a Heidenhain or Siemens control. Torque reaches 2,713/3,989 Nm with the larger motor.
X and Y rapid at 20,000 and 12,000 mm/min, Z and W at 12,000 and 10,000 mm/min. Rotary tables are an optional accessory in three families, T10, T20 and T25/50, with plates from 1,200 x 1,200 mm up to 2,500 x 5,000 mm.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The WFT 13/15 is a table-type machine: the part rides on a rotary table that crosses in X, up to 5,000 mm (196.9 in) as standard. The WF 13/15 R is a floor-type machine whose column travels 4,000 - 22,000 mm (157.5 - 866.1 in) past a stationary part, and its 700 mm (27.6 in) ram is part of Fermat's description of the model. Spindle sizes, speeds and motors are the same in both tables.
02
Ram travel in Z is 700 mm (27.6 in) and spindle travel in W is 800 mm (31.5 in). The two are separate axes, so the ram can be set for stiffness and the spindle extended only as far as the bore requires.
03
The table lists the rotary table as an optional accessory. Three families are given: T10 with plates from 1,200 x 1,200 mm to 1,600 x 1,800 mm, T20 from 1,600 x 1,800 mm to 2,000 x 3,000 mm, and T25/50 from 2,000 x 2,000 mm to 2,500 x 5,000 mm. Fermat says the machine is equipped with floor plates and/or rotary tables.
04
A 130 mm (5.1 in) spindle at 3,400 rpm, 4,000 rpm optional, or a 150 mm (5.9 in) spindle at 3,000 rpm, 3,500 rpm optional. Tapers are SK 50 in DIN, MAS or ANSI form, BIG+ or HSK100. Motors are 41/61.5 kW or 53/77.9 kW with Heidenhain or Siemens and 37/45 kW or 53/77.9 kW with Fanuc.
