Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Feeler VFP-800 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Feeler VFP-800 mixes guideway types: linear guides on X and Y, a box way on Z. Feeler says the arrangement accommodates both high-speed and heavy-duty cutting, and it is the feature that separates the VFP series from the maker's other 40-taper verticals of the same size. Travels are 820 mm (32.3 in) in X, 520 mm (20.5 in) in Y and 505 mm (19.9 in) in Z.
The logic is straightforward. X and Y carry the table and make most of the positioning moves, so rolling guides keep them quick: 36 m/min (1,417 ipm). Z carries the spindle head and takes the thrust of drilling and the reaction of face milling, and a sliding way there adds damping where the cut is. Even so, Z rapid is listed at 30 m/min (1,181 ipm).
Spindle speed is 10,000 rpm on a 7/24 No.40 taper. The standard spindle is belt-driven, and Feeler offers an optional direct-drive spindle, with speeds reaching up to 15,000 rpm across the configurations. The table lists 24 tools. For the series Feeler describes a 22 or 24-station arm-type magazine as standard, 30 stations as an option, and tool change times as fast as 1.7 seconds.
The table is 950 x 520 mm (37.4 x 20.5 in) with an 800 kg (1,764 lb) rating. Ball screws are heat-treated, precision-ground and driven directly by AC servo motors. Neither motor power nor torque is given on the series page.

820 x 520 x 505 mm (32.3 x 20.5 x 19.9 in), over a 950 x 520 mm (37.4 x 20.5 in) table with a maximum loading weight of 800 kg (1,764 lb).
03
The table lists 10,000 rpm with a 7/24 Taper No.40. Feeler's text says spindle configurations include a standard belt-driven spindle and an optional direct-drive spindle, reaching speeds up to 15,000 rpm.
04
Both list 820 x 520 x 505 mm travels, the same table, 800 kg and a 10,000 rpm No.40 spindle. The VMP-32 lists X and Y rapids of 40 m/min and 22 tools. The VFP-800 lists 36 m/min and 24 tools, and is the one described with a box way Z axis.
