We do not have a price for the Durma HD-TC 60170 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Small tube at high rotation speed is the purpose of the Durma HD-TC 60170, the lightest of the bundle-loading HD-TC tube lasers. Its largest round is Ø170 mm (6.7 in), its largest square 120 x 120 mm (4.7 x 4.7 in) and its largest rectangle 150 x 100 mm (5.9 x 3.9 in). Material up to 6,500 mm (255.9 in) long is taken from a bundle of up to 3,000 kg (6,614 lb).
The typical work is furniture tube, shelving, frames and light structural sections. Parts like these are short and carry many holes and notches, so the chuck spends its time indexing. The A axis turns at 840 °/s, the highest figure in the HD-TC tables, and X and Y both run at 60 m/min.
Automatic loading has two limits to plan around. Material shorter than 3,000 mm (118.1 in) is not loaded automatically, and Durma notes that pipes and profiles smaller than Ø20 can only be loaded manually. The minimum pipe diameter itself is printed as 20 (12 optional) mm. Weight limits are 37.5 kg/m and 210 kg (463 lb) per workpiece, which rules out heavy-wall tube at full length.
At the end of each bar 130 (110 optional) mm remains. Unloading length is given as Max. 4,500 / Max. 6,000 mm. Open L, U and H sections up to 120 mm (4.7 in) can be cut, but they are loaded by hand or with the optional semi automatic front chain loader. The chuck centre stands 1,150 mm (45.3 in) above the floor.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- A axis rotation of 840 °/s, the fastest in the HD-TC range
- Bundle loading of up to 3,000 kg (6,614 lb) for material from 3,000 mm (118.1 in) to 6,500 mm (255.9 in)
- X and Y axes both run at 60 m/min
- Positioning accuracy of ±0.2 mm with ±0.05 mm positioning variation
- Capacitive tube centre search as part of the listed specification
Limitations
- Round capacity ends at Ø170 mm (6.7 in) and square at 120 x 120 mm (4.7 x 4.7 in)
- Workpiece weight is limited to 210 kg (463 lb) and material to 37.5 kg/m
- Pipes and profiles smaller than Ø20 can only be loaded manually
- Open-section profiles cannot be loaded by the automatic system

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Maximum pipe diameter is Ø170 mm (6.7 in), maximum square profile 120 x 120 mm (4.7 x 4.7 in) and maximum rectangular profile 150 x 100 mm (5.9 x 3.9 in). Material can be up to 6,500 mm (255.9 in) long, 37.5 kg/m and 210 kg (463 lb) in total.
02
Yes, from a bundle of up to 3,000 kg (6,614 lb), provided the material is at least 3,000 mm (118.1 in) long. Durma's notes add that pipes and profiles smaller than Ø20 can only be loaded manually, and that open-section profiles are loaded manually or with a semi-automatic chain loading system.
03
The HD-TC 60220 takes larger and heavier sections: Ø220 mm (8.7 in) round, 160 x 160 mm (6.3 x 6.3 in) square, 52 kg/m and 360 kg (794 lb). Axis speeds and accuracy are the same in both tables. The HD-TC 60170 leaves less material at the bar end, 130 (110 optional) mm.
04
Round, square, rectangular and elliptic closed profiles, and open L, U and H profiles up to 120 mm (4.7 in). Durma states that a slim-type head must be used for H-profile cutting. 3D bevel cutting is listed as an option for the series.
