Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Durma HD-TC 60220 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Durma HD-TC 60220 is the centre of the HD-TC tube and profile laser range: Ø220 mm (8.7 in) round tube, 160 x 160 mm (6.3 x 6.3 in) square and 200 x 100 mm (7.9 x 3.9 in) rectangular profile, cut from lengths up to 6,500 mm (255.9 in). It is the machine Durma uses to present the series in its brochure.
Material handling is automatic at both ends. A bundle of up to 3,000 kg (6,614 lb) is separated on a chain, each profile is measured and transferred to the chuck, and Durma states that 8 tubes can be loaded to the chain loader at once. On the output side, the automatic unloading system sorts cut parts by length and works in both directions; Durma says this is standard on machines with a 220 mm diameter.
Holding is done by a driver chuck with 4 independent jaws in a 2+2 configuration and a central chuck close to the cutting head, both adjusting clamping pressure to the wall thickness. Four servo-set support arms keep long profiles on the chuck axis. Speeds are 60 m/min in X and Y, 30 m/min in Z and 840 °/s on the A axis.
Section weight can reach 52 kg/m and a workpiece 360 kg (794 lb). The bar-end remainder is 160 (140 optional) mm. Tube below Ø20 is loaded by hand, and the minimum is printed as Ø20 (Ø12 optional) mm. Open profiles are limited to 100 mm as standard, with a bigger size optional.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Automatic unloading on both sides with sorting by length, standard at this diameter
- Bundle loader for up to 3,000 kg (6,614 lb), with 8 tubes on the chain at once
- Ø220 mm (8.7 in) round and 160 x 160 mm (6.3 x 6.3 in) square capacity
- 840 °/s A axis with 60 m/min on X and Y
- Driver and central chucks that set clamping pressure from the wall thickness
Limitations
- Material length stops at 6,500 mm (255.9 in); the HD-TC 80220 takes 8,500 mm (334.6 in)
- Bar-end remainder is 160 (140 optional) mm, more than on the HD-TC 60170
- Open profiles are limited to 100 mm unless the bigger size is ordered
- Seam detection, laser centering and spatter protection are options

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Round tube up to Ø220 mm (8.7 in), square profile up to 160 x 160 mm (6.3 x 6.3 in) and rectangular profile up to 200 x 100 mm (7.9 x 3.9 in), plus elliptic sections. Open L, U and H profiles are possible up to 100 mm, with a bigger size as an option.
02
Up to 6,500 mm (255.9 in) long, 52 kg/m and 360 kg (794 lb) per workpiece. For automatic loading the material must be at least 3,000 mm (118.1 in) long, and the bundle may weigh up to 3,000 kg (6,614 lb).
03
Durma describes an automatic unloading system that sorts cut parts by length and operates in both directions, with a conveyor at the front and a discharge bin at the rear, and states that it is standard on machines with a 220 mm diameter. Unloading length is listed as Max. 4,500 / Max. 6,000 mm.
04
Positioning accuracy is ±0.2 mm and positioning variation ±0.05 mm. Durma explains that these are cumulative axis values and that profile warping affects the cutting tolerance directly, which is why it recommends the laser centring option for precise cutting.
