Overview
The CHMER RV1283L is the widest wire EDM in the RV series at standard height: 1,200 x 800 mm (47.2 x 31.5 in) of X and Y travel with 300 mm (11.8 in) of Z. The fixed table takes a workpiece of 1,600 x 1,100 x 295 mm (63.0 x 43.3 x 11.6 in) weighing up to 5,000 kg (11,023 lb).
The Y axis is the reason to choose it. At 800 mm it is a third longer than the 600 mm of the RV1063L, which matters for square mould bases and for plates with openings spread across their full width. The load rating is the same on both machines, so the larger frame buys reach, not capacity.
