Price estimate
We do not have a price for the CHMER CM1475C that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The CHMER CM1475C opens the large-frame end of CHMER's CNC die sinker EDM series. Table travel is 1,400 x 700 mm (55.1 x 27.6 in) and ram travel 500 mm (19.7 in). The table is 1,400 x 850 mm (55.1 x 33.5 in), so X travel equals the table length.
Two figures change with the frame. Electrode weight rises to 400 kg (882 lb) from the 300 kg (660 lb) of the CM1265C, and the ram platen sits much higher: 575-1,075 mm (22.6-42.3 in) above the table. A deep mould half can go on the table with a long electrode above it and still leave the full stroke.
CHMER states the capacity as a workpiece size instead of a tank size: 2,200 x 1,200 x 540 mm (86.6 x 47.2 x 21.3 in), up to 5,500 kg (12,125 lb). Dielectric volume is 3,900 L (1,030 gal). Bumper, instrument-panel and appliance-housing moulds are the kind of work those figures describe.
All four generators are listed, 50N to 150N, with the 150N at 150 A, 10 kVA and 1,050 mm3/min. In practice a machine this size is bought with one of the two larger units. Machine weight is 6,650 kg (14,660 lb), and the outline is 2,720 x 3,020 x 3,110 mm (107.1 x 118.9 x 122.4 in), which calls for a bay with more than three metres of clear height plus crane room.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 1,400 x 700 mm (55.1 x 27.6 in) table travel, X equal to the table length
- 400 kg (882 lb) electrode limit
- 575-1,075 mm (22.6-42.3 in) from ram platen to table
- Workpieces up to 2,200 x 1,200 x 540 mm and 5,500 kg (12,125 lb)
- 3,900 L (1,030 gal) dielectric volume
Limitations
- Workpiece limit of 5,500 kg (12,125 lb) is below the 7,500 kg (16,500 lb) of the CM1265C
- 3,110 mm (122.4 in) overall height
- Ram travel remains 500 mm (19.7 in)
- Tool changer and C axis are options
