Price estimate
We do not have a price for the CHMER CM2076C that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The CHMER CM2076C is a two-metre CNC die sinker EDM: 2,000 mm (78.7 in) of X travel, 750 mm (29.5 in) of Y and 600 mm (23.6 in) of ram travel. Its ram stroke is longer than the 500 mm of the CM1875C, and at 500 kg (1,102 lb) its electrode limit is the highest in the series.
The longer stroke and the heavier electrode go together. Deep cavities in large moulds are burned with tall graphite blocks, and both the mass and the retract distance grow with depth. Under the ram there is 800-1,400 mm (31.5-55.1 in) to the table, enough for a workpiece 640 mm high with tooling above it.
Workpiece capacity is 2,650 x 1,500 x 640 mm (104.3 x 59.1 x 25.2 in) and 6,800 kg (14,991 lb), on a table of 1,850 x 1,100 mm (72.8 x 43.3 in). Note that X travel exceeds the table length, so the ram can work past both ends of the table on an overhanging block.
This is a building-scale installation. The machine is 3,270 x 4,150 x 3,700 mm (128.7 x 163.4 x 145.7 in) and 9,400 kg (20,723 lb), with 4,850 L (1,281 gal) of dielectric. Generators run from 50N to 150N. Closed-loop linear scales, ball screws and linear guides on X, Y and Z are as on the rest of the series.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 2,000 x 750 mm (78.7 x 29.5 in) table travel with 600 mm (23.6 in) of ram travel
- 500 kg (1,102 lb) electrode limit
- Workpieces up to 2,650 x 1,500 x 640 mm (104.3 x 59.1 x 25.2 in) and 6,800 kg (14,991 lb)
- 800-1,400 mm (31.5-55.1 in) from ram platen to table
- 4,850 L (1,281 gal) dielectric volume
Limitations
- 3,700 mm (145.7 in) overall height
- 4,150 mm (163.4 in) deep, 9,400 kg (20,723 lb)
- Minimum ram clearance of 800 mm (31.5 in) is impractical for shallow parts
- Generator range tops out at 150 A, the same as on far smaller models
