CHMER CM655C — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the CHMER CM655C that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from CHMER or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The CHMER CM655C is where CHMER's CNC die sinker series becomes a production mould machine. Table travel is 600 x 500 mm (23.6 x 19.7 in), ram travel 500 mm (19.7 in), and for the first time in the series all four generators are available, up to the 150N with 150 A.

The jump from the model below is large. Workpiece weight goes to 3,000 kg (6,600 lb) and electrode weight to 300 kg (660 lb). A 300 kg electrode on a 500 mm ram stroke means big graphite for deep cavities, and the 150N's maximum machining speed of 1,050 mm3/min is there to rough them. The 50N and 75N remain available where finish matters more: every generator lists 0.25 μm Ra as best surface roughness.

The table is 900 x 600 mm (35.4 x 23.6 in) in a work tank of 1,450 x 950 x 550 mm, and the ram platen is 300-800 mm (11.8-31.5 in) above the table. Dielectric volume is 1,300 L (343 gal) in the D655 tank.

Plan the installation around more than the 2,000 x 2,230 mm machine. It stands 2,685 mm (105.7 in) high and weighs 3,500 kg (7,700 lb), the 125N and 150N generators use a second cabinet, and their power input is 9 kVA and 10 kVA. Closed-loop linear scales on the three axes are standard; the tool changer and C axis are options.
