How much does the CHMER CM A64C cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the CHMER CM A64C that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The CHMER CM A64C is the largest bridge-type CNC die sinker in the A series, with table travel of 600 x 400 mm (23.6 x 15.7 in), a ram travel of 350 mm (13.8 in) and a 1,500 kg (3,300 lb) workpiece limit. Unlike its two smaller siblings, which share one frame, this model has its own: an 800 x 500 mm (31.5 x 19.7 in) table in a 1,350 x 740 x 450 mm work tank.
Machine weight is 3,000 kg (6,600 lb) and the outline 2,185 x 1,950 x 2,370 mm (86.1 x 76.7 x 93.3 in). For a sinker that accepts a tonne and a half, that is a small machine, and it is the argument CHMER makes for the bridge layout.
What does not grow is the burning end. Generator choices remain the built-in 50N and 75N, at 50 A and 75 A, and the electrode limit remains 100 kg (220 lb). Large-area roughing with big electrodes is therefore not this machine's strength. It suits medium cavities, ribs and detail work on mould halves that happen to be large and heavy.
The dielectric tank is larger, at 635 L (168 gal), with a paper filter. Control and accuracy features are those of the series: linear glass scales, closed-loop control and a dialogue PC-based CNC with automatic program creation. A tool changer and a C axis can be added as options.

- 1,500 kg (3,300 lb) workpiece capacity from a 3,000 kg (6,600 lb) machine
- 600 x 400 mm (23.6 x 15.7 in) table travel on an 800 x 500 mm (31.5 x 19.7 in) table
- 635 L (168 gal) built-in dielectric tank
- Linear glass scales and closed-loop control
- Outline of 2,185 x 1,950 x 2,370 mm (86.1 x 76.7 x 93.3 in)
Limitations
- Generators limited to 50N and 75N, 75 A at most

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Table travel is 600 x 400 mm (23.6 x 15.7 in) and ram travel 350 mm (13.8 in). The table is 800 x 500 mm (31.5 x 19.7 in), the work tank 1,350 x 740 x 450 mm, and the limits are 1,500 kg (3,300 lb) for the workpiece and 100 kg (220 lb) for the electrode.
02
Against the CM A53C, the CM A64C has more travel (600 x 400 mm against 500 x 350 mm), a larger table and tank, a 1,500 kg (3,300 lb) workpiece limit against 1,000 kg (2,200 lb) and a 635 L (168 gal) dielectric tank against 480 L (127 gal). Ram travel and generator options are the same.
03
Outside dimensions are 2,185 x 1,950 x 2,370 mm (86.1 x 76.7 x 93.3 in) and the machine weighs 3,000 kg (6,600 lb). The generator and dielectric tank are built in, so there are no separate cabinets to place.
04
CHMER lists a best surface roughness of 0.25 μm Ra and an electrode wear rate of 0.2% for both the 50N and the 75N generator. The APC protection circuit is described as preventing arcing during finish machining.
