CHMER D433CL — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the CHMER D433CL that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from CHMER or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The CHMER D433CL pairs a linear motor Z axis with the full range of CHMER generators, from 50N to 150N. That is the difference from the smaller D322CL, which stops at 75N: this machine can be ordered with up to 150 A of machining current on a 400 x 300 x 300 mm (15.7 x 11.8 x 11.8 in) travel.

A fast ram and a strong generator complement each other. High current removes metal quickly but fills the gap with debris, and the linear motor Z, part of what CHMER calls its in-house linear motor drive system, clears it with quick jumps. X and Y remain on AC servo motors. Power input rises with the generator, from 4 kVA for the 50N to 10 kVA for the 150N, and the two larger generators come with a second cabinet.

The work table is 650 x 400 mm (25.6 x 15.7 in) inside a 1,000 x 610 x 300 mm tank, and the largest workpiece is 950 x 560 x 250 mm at 350 kg (772 lb). Electrode weight is limited to 30 kg (66 lb), so the high-current generators are for flushing-limited roughing with modest electrodes, not for very large ones.

Machine unit weight is 1,600 kg (3,527 lb) on a 1,260 x 1,600 mm (49.6 x 63.0 in) base. Dielectric volume is 320 L (85 gal). An air supply of 6 kgf/cm2 is required.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 Which generators can the D433CL be fitted with?

Four: 50N, 75N, 125N and 150N, with maximum machining currents of 50 A, 75 A, 125 A and 150 A. Maximum power input is 4 kVA, 5 kVA, 9 kVA and 10 kVA. The D322CL is offered with the 50N and 75N only.

02 What are the travels and table size of the D433CL?

Table travel is 400 x 300 mm (15.7 x 11.8 in) and Z travel 300 mm (11.8 in). The work table is 650 x 400 mm (25.6 x 15.7 in) and the work tank 1,000 x 610 x 300 mm (39.4 x 24.0 x 11.8 in).

03 Is the D433CL a full linear motor machine?

No. Only Z is linear: the drive row reads X,Y AXIS BY AC SERVO MOTOR, Z AXIS BY LINEAR MOTOR. CHMER's A6040L is the model listed with X, Y and Z all by linear motor.

04 What are the load limits of the D433CL?

Maximum electrode weight is 30 kg (66 lb) and maximum workpiece weight 350 kg (772 lb). The distance from ram platen to work table is 250-550 mm (9.8-21.7 in).
