Overview

The Baykal BLT 6220 is a tube and profile laser that takes stock up to 6,100 mm (240.2 in) long, the shorter of the two bed lengths in Baykal's BLT table. It cuts round tube from Ø16 mm (0.6 in) to Ø220 mm (8.7 in) and square section from 16x16 mm to 220x220 mm, with a tube weight limit of 240 kg (529 lb).

Laser power is 1 kW to 4 kW through a Precitec LightCutter 3D head, and bevel cutting is an option. The driver chuck turns at 560°/s with 7000 Deg/s² of acceleration, which is what sets the pace on parts with many features around the circumference. Linear rapid speed is 90 m/min and vector speed 130 m/min. Positioning accuracy is ± 0.01 mm and repeatability ± 0.02 mm on X and Y.
