Baykal BLE — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Baykal BLE that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Baykal or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The Baykal BLE is the smallest fiber laser in Baykal's range, a single-table machine that the maker describes as a small size precision fiber laser cutting machine with a 1500x1500 mm format. Laser power runs from 1 kW to 3 kW, and the standard cutting head is a Raytools unit with automatic focus and a 150 mm (5.9 in) focusing lens.

The axes are driven by Beckhoff rotary servos through a Wittenstein rack and pinion, which Baykal's page calls a helical rack and pinion motion system. Rapid traverse is 95 m/min, vector speed 135 m/min and acceleration 1.5 G (15 m/s²). Absolute positioning accuracy is ± 0.03 mm and repeatability ± 0.04 mm. The programmable feed rate goes up to 50 m/min.

What the source power buys is thickness. At 1 kW the table gives 12 mm (0.47 in) in mild steel and 4 mm (0.16 in) in stainless; at 3 kW those become 18 mm (0.71 in) and 10 mm (0.39 in). Aluminum and brass both stop at 8 mm (0.31 in) at 3 kW, copper at 4 mm (0.16 in). Baykal notes that cutting thickness depends on material condition and machine parameters, so treat these as ceilings, not production figures.

There is one table and no pallet changer in the listing, so the machine stops while parts are unloaded. The table carries 750 kg (1,653 lb). Nozzle cleaning and calibration are automatic, the fume extractor is an option, and nesting is done in LANTEK Expert Cut II or Metalix AutoNest PRO on a Beckhoff CNC with an 18.5" screen.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Small 1500x1500 mm format with a single table, aimed at shops with little floor space
  • Raytools cutting head with automatic focus is the standard head
  • 95 m/min rapid traverse and 135 m/min vector speed with 1.5 G (15 m/s²) acceleration
  • Automatic nozzle cleaning and calibration are listed as standard
  • Cuts up to 18 mm (0.71 in) mild steel and 10 mm (0.39 in) stainless at 3 kW

Limitations

  • Single Table: no shuttle table is listed, so cutting stops for loading and unloading
  • Laser power ends at 3 kW; the BLE PRO goes on to 6 kW
  • The 1500x1500 mm format does not take a standard full-length sheet without shearing it first
  • The fume extractor is optional
06

Best For

Thin and medium sheet parts cut from 1500x1500 mm blanks Prototype and short-run work where one table is enough Mild steel up to 18 mm (0.71 in) with the 3 kW source Workshops where footprint decides the purchase

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What sheet size does the Baykal BLE take?

Baykal's product page gives the format as 1500x1500 mm and calls the machine a small-footprint model. It has a single table rated for 750 kg (1,653 lb), so sheets are loaded and unloaded with the machine stopped.

02 What laser powers are offered on the BLE?

The technical data lists 1 kW to 3 kW. The capacity table gives 12 mm (0.47 in) mild steel at 1 kW, 15 mm (0.59 in) at 2 kW and 18 mm (0.71 in) at 3 kW, with stainless at 4 mm (0.16 in), 8 mm (0.31 in) and 10 mm (0.39 in) for the same three powers.

03 How fast and how accurate is the BLE?

Rapid traverse is 95 m/min and vector speed 135 m/min, with 1.5 G (15 m/s²) acceleration. Baykal lists ± 0.03 mm absolute positioning accuracy and ± 0.04 mm repeatability. The programmable feed rate is up to 50 m/min.

04 Which control and software does the BLE use?

A Beckhoff CNC with an 18.5" TFT screen running Windows 10, with Beckhoff rotary servo motors and drives. Nesting software is LANTEK Expert Cut II or Metalix AutoNest PRO. Nozzle cleaning and calibration are automatic.
