Overview

The Baykal BLC is a combination machine: a flat-sheet fiber laser with a tube and profile station on the same frame, which Baykal's page sums up as sheet + tube processing. The sheet side is offered in widths of 1,500 / 2,000 mm (59.1 / 78.7 in) and lengths of 3,000 / 4,000 / 6,000 mm (118.1 / 157.5 / 236.2 in), with laser power from 1 kW to 15 kW.

For a combination machine the sheet performance is high. Rapid traverse is 115 m/min, vector speed 160 m/min and acceleration 2.2G (22 m/s²), with ± 0.01 mm positioning accuracy. One head, a Precitec ProCutter 2.0, serves both jobs.

On the tube side the machine takes bars of 6,100 mm (240.2 in), or 8,100 mm (318.9 in) as an option, and makes parts up to 4,000 mm (157.5 in). Round capacity is Ø16 mm (0.6 in) to Ø214 mm (8.4 in), square 16x16 mm to 214x214 mm, slightly under the dedicated BLT 6220 with its Ø220 mm (8.7 in).
