Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Baykal BLS PRO that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Baykal BLS PRO is Baykal's main production fiber laser, built in working areas from 2,000 to 4,000 mm (78.7 to 157.5 in) wide and 3,000 to 15,000 mm (118.1 to 590.6 in) long with 6 kW to 15 kW of laser power. It comes with one of two drive systems, and that choice changes most of the performance rows in the table.
The first version has a Wittenstein rack and pinion on X and a Bosch Rexroth linear motor on Y, with Beckhoff rotary servos. It is listed at 115 m/min rapid traverse, 165 m/min vector speed, 2.2G (22 m/s²) and ±0.02 mm for both positioning accuracy and repeatability. The second version uses linear motors on X and Y. Its figures are 150 m/min, 215 m/min, 3.0G (30 m/s²) and ±0.01 mm. Programmable feed rate is up to 100 m/min on the first and up to 125 m/min on the second.
A Precitec ProCutter 2.0 is the standard head. With 6 kW the capacity table gives 25 mm (0.98 in) of mild steel and 16 mm (0.63 in) of stainless; with 15 kW it gives 45 mm (1.77 in) and 40 mm (1.57 in). Aluminum follows stainless closely at the higher powers. Baykal's product page speaks of 6 to 20 kW, while the data sheet's laser power row stops at 15 kW, so check which sources are current.
The transfer table is a motorized automatic exchange. It carries 2,500 kg (5,512 lb) in the 2000x4000 mm size and 3,500 kg (7,716 lb) in the 2000x6000 mm size. A bevel cutting head, an automatic nozzle changer and the fume extractor are all options.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Two drive versions: rack and pinion X with linear Y, or linear motors on X + Y
- The X + Y linear version reaches 150 m/min rapid traverse and 3.0G (30 m/s²)
- Laser power from 6 kW to 15 kW with a Precitec ProCutter 2.0 head as standard
- Working areas from 2,000 to 4,000 mm (78.7 to 157.5 in) wide and up to 15,000 mm long
- Motorized automatic exchange table rated 3,500 kg (7,716 lb) for 2000x6000 mm
- 45 mm (1.77 in) mild steel and 40 mm (1.57 in) stainless at 15 kW
Limitations
- The bevel cutting head, automatic nozzle changer and fume extractor are all optional
- The rack and pinion version is held to ±0.02 mm, twice the ±0.01 mm of the linear version
- Table load is given only for the 2000x4000 mm and 2000x6000 mm sizes
- Baykal's page and its data sheet disagree on the top laser power
