Baykal APHS PRO 6106x240 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Baykal APHS PRO 6106x240 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Baykal or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

Six metres of bending length is what the Baykal APHS PRO 6106x240 is bought for. The bed measures 6,100 mm (240.2 in) and the force is 2,400 kN, the lowest of the five six-metre columns in Baykal's APHS PRO data.

Length dominates every other figure. The side frames stand 5,100 mm (200.8 in) apart, the machine weighs approximately 25 Ton, and the bed is 1,100 mm (43.3 in) off the floor. That bed height is well above the 880 mm (34.6 in) of the APHS 4110x240 and will usually mean a pit or an operator platform.

In cross-section it is a mixture. The throat gap is the deep one, 500 mm (19.7 in), but the stroke is 260 mm (10.2 in) and the table 90 mm (3.5 in) wide, as on the light models. Daylight opening is 500 mm (19.7 in), the smallest of the six-metre group.

Drive and speeds: 22 kW (29.5 hp), a 300 L tank, 140 mm/s approach, 10 mm/s working and 100 mm/s return. This is the only six-metre size that bends at 10 mm/s.

On a bed this long, deflection and part handling decide the result. Baykal's PRO description lists CNC motorized crowning and a front sheet follower with sliding arm for heavy and long pieces. Check which of them are included.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 6,100 mm (240.2 in) bending length
  • Fastest of the six-metre sizes: 140 mm/s approach and 10 mm/s working speed
  • 5,100 mm (200.8 in) between the side frames
  • Front sheet follower with sliding arm appears in Baykal's PRO description
  • Lightest six-metre model at approximately 25 Ton

Limitations

  • 2,400 kN is modest over 6,100 mm (240.2 in)
  • Daylight opening of only 500 mm (19.7 in) with a 260 mm (10.2 in) stroke
  • Bed height of 1,100 mm (43.3 in)
  • Narrow 90 mm (3.5 in) table for a machine this long

Best For

Six-metre profiles in thin and medium sheet Light poles, roofing and long trim sections Bending long parts in one hit instead of on two machines

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How long a part can the Baykal APHS PRO 6106x240 bend?

Up to 6,100 mm (240.2 in). Parts no wider than 5,100 mm (200.8 in) pass between the side frames; longer ones are limited to the 500 mm (19.7 in) throat gap.

02 Is 2,400 kN enough at six metres?

For thin and medium sheet over the full length, or thicker plate on shorter bends. If full-length plate is the job, the APHS PRO 6108x300 has 3,000 kN and the APHS PRO 6116x600 has 6,000 kN on the same bending length.

03 Why is the bed so high on the APHS PRO 6106x240?

Baykal lists a bed height of 1,100 mm (43.3 in). The data sheet does not explain it, but a long bed needs a deep beam to resist deflection. Plan the floor level or a platform around that figure.

04 What helps with long sheets on the APHS PRO 6106x240?

Baykal's PRO text names linear guided moveable front support arms and a front sheet follower with sliding arm, described as making heavy and long pieces more precise to process. The technical data does not say whether they are standard.
