Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Baykal APHS HYBRID 31300 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Baykal APHS HYBRID 31300 is more than a 300 Tons version of its neighbours. It is the only 3,100 mm (122 in) hybrid built on the larger frame, and three rows of the table change with it: the stroke grows to 320 mm (12.6 in), the daylight opening to 660 mm (26 in) and the throat gap to 500 mm (19.7 in).
Those three figures open up work the smaller models cannot do. A longer stroke and more daylight let tall punches and deep dies stay in the machine while a box with high sides is lifted out. The deeper throat lets a wider sheet pass beside the frames. The APHS HYBRID 31240, by comparison, has a 260 mm (10.2 in) stroke, 530 mm (20.9 in) of daylight and a 410 mm (16.1 in) throat.
Speed is where the force is paid for. Standard approach and return are 140 mm/s and working speed is 7 mm/s, the slowest in the series. The H+Package lifts them to 200 mm/s and 10 mm/s. Rated power is listed as 2x9.2 kW, as on the lighter machines, and oil capacity as 2x55 L.
Backgauge travel does not grow with the frame. The X axis range is 750 mm (29.5 in) at 350 mm/s and the R axis range 160 mm (6.3 in) at 240 mm/s. Baykal describes moveable and adjustable support arms for light and heavy-duty work, which on a machine of this force will be handling heavy blanks, and a sheet follower is not mentioned for the hybrid series.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 300 Tons, the highest force of the 3,100 mm (122 in) hybrids
- Stroke of 320 mm (12.6 in) and daylight opening of 660 mm (26 in)
- Throat gap of 500 mm (19.7 in), against 410 mm (16.1 in) on the APHS HYBRID 31240
- H+Package restores 200 mm/s approach and return
- Oil capacity remains 2x55 L
Limitations
- Standard approach speed of 140 mm/s and working speed of 7 mm/s are the slowest of the series
- Full speed requires the optional H+Package
- Backgauge X range stays at 750 mm (29.5 in)
- Weight and foundation data are not in the hybrid data sheet

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The frame. Stroke is 320 mm (12.6 in), daylight opening 660 mm (26 in) and throat gap 500 mm (19.7 in). The APHS HYBRID 31240 has a 260 mm (10.2 in) stroke and a 410 mm (16.1 in) throat gap.
02
As standard it approaches and returns at 140 mm/s and works at 7 mm/s. With the H+Package Baykal lists 200 mm/s for approach and return and 10 mm/s for working speed.
03
Two servo-hydraulic units, listed as 2x9.2 kW rated power with 2x55 L of oil. Baykal says the pump motor is active only when the machine is working, which is where the claimed energy saving of the hybrid series comes from.
04
It is the best placed of the 3,100 mm (122 in) hybrids for it, with 660 mm (26 in) of daylight and a 320 mm (12.6 in) stroke. Check the tooling heights you plan to use against those two figures.
