Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Baykal APHS PRO 4116x440 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Baykal APHS PRO 4116x440 is the first size that exists only in the APHS PRO table. It puts 4,400 kN on a 4,100 mm (161.4 in) bending length, a combination the standard APHS sheet stops short of: there, four metres ends with the APHS 4112x300 at 3,000 kN.
Baykal positions the PRO line for all sheet thicknesses, and this size shows why the line needed more columns. The machine weighs approximately 26 Ton. Its table is 380 mm (15 in) wide, the side frames are 2,235 mm (88 in) wide, and the hydraulic unit has a 30 kW (40.2 hp) motor on a 450 L tank.
The working envelope is the heavy-frame one. Throat gap is 500 mm (19.7 in), stroke 320 mm (12.6 in) and daylight opening 590 mm (23.2 in). Between the frames there is 3,550 mm (139.8 in). The bed sits at 955 mm (37.6 in), lower than the 980 mm (38.6 in) of the APHS 4112x300.
Expect a deliberate pace: 80 mm/s on approach, 8 mm/s while bending, 70 mm/s on return.
The PRO description adds equipment the plain data columns do not show. Baykal names CNC motorized crowning for full-length precise bending, servo driven backgauge configurations from 2 to 6 axis, and linear guided front support arms. On a four-metre bed under this much force, crowning is the item to confirm first.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 4,400 kN on a 4,100 mm (161.4 in) bed, beyond anything in the standard APHS table at this length
- CNC motorized crowning is named in Baykal's PRO description
- Backgauge configurations from 2 to 6 axis
- 500 mm (19.7 in) throat gap and 320 mm (12.6 in) stroke
- 380 mm (15 in) table for large die blocks
Limitations
- Weighs approximately 26 Ton, so the foundation needs planning
- Approach of 80 mm/s and return of 70 mm/s
- 30 kW (40.2 hp) motor and 450 L of oil
- The data sheet does not say which backgauge is fitted as standard

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Baykal's APHS data sheet lists 14 sizes and ends its four-metre range with the APHS 4112x300 at 3,000 kN. The APHS PRO sheet continues with six more columns, of which the APHS PRO 4116x440 is the first.
02
Same force, motor and tank on a longer bed. The APHS 3120x440 bends 3,100 mm (122 in), weighs about 22 Ton and has a 450 mm (17.7 in) table. This machine bends 4,100 mm (161.4 in), weighs about 26 Ton and has a 380 mm (15 in) table with 590 mm (23.2 in) of daylight.
03
Baykal describes the PRO backgauge as servo driven and CNC controlled, in multiple configurations from 2 to 6 axis. Travel, speed and the standard axis count are not in the technical data, so they must be fixed in the order.
04
The ram approaches at 80 mm/s, works at 8 mm/s and returns at 70 mm/s. These are the same values Baykal prints for the 4,400 kN machine on the three-metre bed.
