Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Yawei PBG-110/4500 Curtain wall that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Yawei PBG-110/4500 Curtain wall has the longest bed in the PBG dual servo series, a bending length of 4,500 mm (177.2 in), with 1,100 kN of bending pressure. It is the larger of two versions Yawei builds for curtain wall panels.
Both versions share a deep frame: 550 mm (21.7 in) of throat depth and 630 mm (24.8 in) of mould height. The difference is length. The PBG-110/4100 Curtain wall bends 4,100 mm (161.4 in) with 3,600 mm (141.7 in) between its columns. This machine has 3,800 mm (149.6 in) between columns.
Length in this trade follows the sheet. Architectural sheet is commonly supplied longer than four metres, and a façade designer's panel module, not the fabricator's preference, fixes the size. A fabricator with only a four-metre brake has to turn such panels away or split them.
The drive is unchanged from the smaller models, 2 x 7.9 kW on 2 x 60 L of oil, and the slider speeds are 220 mm/s; 18 mm/s; 200 mm/s. Weight comes to 9,500 kg (20,944 lb); overall dimensions are 5,070 x 1,700 x 2,870 mm (199.6 x 66.9 x 113.0 in). With 1,100 kN spread over this length the pressure per metre is low, enough for aluminium and thin steel panels and not for plate. On a bed this long the angle depends on crowning, which the PBG page does not describe, so make that a condition of the order.
