Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Baykal APHS HYBRID 31200 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Baykal APHS HYBRID 31200 is the strongest 3,100 mm (122 in) model of the hybrid series that still runs at full speed as delivered. It has 200 Tons of bending force, and its approach and return speeds are both 200 mm/s.
Why does that line matter? On Baykal's table the next two sizes carry an asterisk. The APHS HYBRID 31240 approaches at 160 mm/s and the APHS HYBRID 31300 at 140 mm/s, and both reach 200 mm/s only with the optional H+Package. Up to this model the same twin 2x9.2 kW drive units are enough to move the ram at the top speed of the series.
A few millimetres are given up in open height. The daylight opening is 530 mm (20.9 in), against 540 mm (21.3 in) on the APHS HYBRID 31160. Stroke stays at 260 mm (10.2 in) and the throat gap at 410 mm (16.1 in). Working speed is 10 mm/s.
Baykal attributes the accuracy of the series to the servo drives, stating that precision and repeatability of 0.01 are achieved with the servo motor and compact hydraulic system; the figure is printed without a unit. Oil capacity is 2x55 L, a fraction of what a conventional machine of this force would hold, and the series is promoted on 60% less oil and 60% energy saving.
The backgauge is listed with two axes. X has a range of 750 mm (29.5 in) at 350 mm/s, and R a range of 160 mm (6.3 in) at 240 mm/s.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 200 Tons with 200 mm/s approach and return, without the H+Package
- Working speed of 10 mm/s under load
- Oil capacity of only 2x55 L
- Baykal states precision and repeatability of 0.01 for the servo system
- X axis backgauge speed of 350 mm/s
Limitations
- Daylight opening of 530 mm (20.9 in) is below the 540 mm (21.3 in) of the APHS HYBRID 31160
- Stroke remains 260 mm (10.2 in); the APHS HYBRID 31300 offers 320 mm (12.6 in)
- The repeatability figure is printed without a unit
- No crowning system is mentioned in the hybrid data sheet

Frequently Asked Questions
01
200 Tons over a bending length of 3,100 mm (122 in). It shares the 2x9.2 kW rated power and 2x55 L oil capacity of the neighbouring sizes in Baykal's hybrid table.
02
Approach 200 mm/s, working 10 mm/s and return 200 mm/s, all as standard. It is the largest 3,100 mm (122 in) model for which the table shows those speeds without requiring the H+Package.
03
The daylight opening is 530 mm (20.9 in) and the stroke is 260 mm (10.2 in). For taller tooling or deeper boxes the APHS HYBRID 31300 has a 660 mm (26 in) daylight opening and a 320 mm (12.6 in) stroke.
04
Oil capacity is listed as 2x55 L, one small tank for each drive unit. Baykal claims 60 % less energy and oil consumption on average compared with its standard hydraulic press brakes.
