LVD PPEB 220/61 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the LVD PPEB 220/61 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from LVD or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The LVD PPEB 220/61 is the lightest six-metre machine in the PPEB table: 2,200 kN across a 6,100 mm (240.2 in) working length, at 24,000 kg (52,910 lb).

A long bed with modest force is not a compromise. It is the right tool for a whole class of product, where the sheet is thin and the part is long: lamp columns, cladding, long ducts, shelving uprights, lorry side rails. The PPEB adds something particular for those trades, which is the freedom to equip the machine for one product.

A pole maker needs deep dies and little else. A cladding shop wants a multi-axis backgauge and sheet followers. A maker of long cabinets may want a hemming table for safety edges. LVD lists each of these separately, and the base machine carries none of them by default.

Gauging deserves thought at this length. The 5- and 6-axis backgauges place their fingers independently along the bed through Z1 and Z2, and LVD offers an additional gauging finger besides.

The frame clears 5,050 mm (198.8 in). Working height is 1,025 mm (40.4 in), the table is 120 mm (4.7 in) wide at 2,000 kN/m, and the listed stroke and opening are 200 mm (7.9 in) and 400 mm (15.7 in). A 37 kW motor gives 120 mm/s approach, 21 mm/s working speed and 200 mm/s return. For still longer parts, tandem configurations are an option.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 6,100 mm (240.2 in) working length at 24,000 kg (52,910 lb)
  • Equipment chosen for one product type
  • 5,050 mm (198.8 in) between the uprights
  • Independent finger positions with 5- or 6-axis backgauge
  • 21 mm/s working speed and 200 mm/s return

Limitations

  • 2,200 kN over six metres means thin material at full length
  • Bed height of 1,025 mm (40.4 in)
  • Listed stroke of 200 mm (7.9 in)
  • Followers, supports and hemming table are all extras

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What is the PPEB 220/61 suited to?

Long parts in thin material. Its 2,200 kN is spread over 6,100 mm (240.2 in) at full length, and the table rating of 2,000 kN/m governs shorter, heavier bends.

02 How is a six-metre part gauged?

With the 5- or 6-axis backgauge the fingers move independently along the bed on Z1 and Z2. LVD also lists an additional gauging finger as an option.

03 What if parts exceed 6,100 mm?

Tandem configurations appear among the PPEB options. LVD gives no detail on the page, so the arrangement has to be worked out with the maker.

04 What does it weigh compared with the Plus version?

24,000 kg (52,910 lb), with 350 L of oil. The PPEB 220/61 Plus, with a taller opening and wider table, is listed at 26,400 kg.
