Price estimate
We do not have a price for the AWEA MEGA5 P2526 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The AWEA MEGA5 P2526 is the smallest fixed-bridge machine in the MEGA5 5-axis range: 2,500 mm (98.4 in) of X, 2,620 mm (103.1 in) of Y and 1,000 mm (39.4 in) of Z under a two-axis B/C milling head. Unusually for a bridge mill, the cross travel is longer than the table travel. That surplus is there for the fork head, which needs room beside the part before it can lay the spindle over and work a side face.
Plan jobs around the part envelope, not the strokes. The table measures 2,310 x 1,500 mm (90.9 x 59.1 in), and AWEA gives the largest workpiece as 2,310 mm long, 1,500 mm wide and 850 mm (33.5 in) high, at up to 8,000 kg (17,637 lb). The columns stand 1,700 mm (66.9 in) apart.
AWEA's table for this size is written around the TCH-20F head, the compact one of the two the maker offers. It carries an HSK-A63 built-in motor spindle listed at 42 / 55 kW (56.3 / 73.8 hp) with a 24,000 rpm top speed. Direct drive motors turn B and C, two of them on the B-axis, and a hydraulic clamp holds both for fixed-angle cuts. A spindle like this suits aluminium structures, pattern and composite tooling, and finishing passes on mould surfaces. For the high torque TCH-30F, the table's footnote refers the buyer to AWEA.
Rapids are 20 m / min on X and Y and 15 m / min on Z, and the cutting feed reaches 10 m / min. At 33,000 kg (72,751 lb) this is the lightest machine of the MEGA5 P line. The MEGA5 P3026 is the next step: the same bridge and spindle with 3,000 mm (118.1 in) of X and a weight of 35,000 kg (77,160 lb).

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 24,000 rpm HSK-A63 built-in motor spindle listed at 42 / 55 kW (56.3 / 73.8 hp)
- Y travel of 2,620 mm (103.1 in) over a table 1,500 mm (59.1 in) wide leaves the fork head room to reach both long sides of a part
- 20 m / min rapids on both X and Y, the top figure in the MEGA5 P line
- B and C axes on direct drive motors with hydraulic clamping and absolute encoders as standard equipment
- 40-tool magazine, and the lowest machine weight in the line at 33,000 kg (72,751 lb)
Limitations
- The table is 2,310 mm (90.9 in) long, shorter than the 2,500 mm (98.4 in) X travel, and that table length is also the longest listed workpiece
- Workpiece height is limited to 850 mm (33.5 in)
- Tools may weigh no more than 8 kg (18 lb), which keeps large face mills and long boring bars out of the magazine
- Coolant through spindle (CTS) is an option, not standard equipment
- The published figures cover the TCH-20F head only; the high torque head has to be raised with AWEA

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Y is 2,620 mm (103.1 in) and X is 2,500 mm (98.4 in), while the table is only 1,500 mm (59.1 in) wide. The cross travel beyond the table edges is working room for the two-axis head. With the spindle tilted to horizontal the head has to stand beside the part, and AWEA lists the spindle centre line at 510 ~ 1,510 mm above the table in that position.
02
AWEA lists a maximum workpiece of 2,310 mm (90.9 in) in length, 1,500 mm (59.1 in) in width and 850 mm (33.5 in) in height, with a table load of 8,000 kg (17,637 lb). The table is 2,310 x 1,500 mm with 22 x 170 mm T-slots, and the spindle nose travels between 200 ~ 1,200 mm (7.9 ~ 47.2 in) above it.
03
The published specification is for the TCH-20F, which AWEA calls the compact structure head. Its spindle has an HSK-A63 taper, a 42 / 55 kW (56.3 / 73.8 hp) built-in motor and a 24,000 rpm maximum speed. The maker's second head, the TCH-30F, is the high torque version with 314 Nm at 1,540 rpm. The specification footnote says to contact AWEA for options other than the TCH-20F.
04
The magazine holds 40 tools. Each can be up to 350 mm (13.8 in) long and 8 kg (18 lb). Diameter is limited to Ø140 mm (Ø5.5 in), or Ø180 mm (Ø7.1 in) when the adjacent pockets are left empty.
05
The coolant tank holds 420 liter, the hydraulic tank 100 liter and the lubrication tank 6 liter. Compressed air is required at 5 ~ 8 kg/cm². The head also has an integrated water cooling circuit, and AWEA states that the spindle reaches its working temperature within 10 minutes of a cold start.
