Overview

Largest of the range, the Dener TMC 1600 is a vertical machining center with 1,600 mm (63 in) of X travel and 700 mm in Y and Z. The table is 1,750 x 700 mm.

It is the long-bed version of the TMC 1300. The spindle is the same 11/30 kW, 77.8/191 Nm unit on a BBT 40 taper, the table load is the same 1,200 kg (2,646 lb), and so are the Y and Z travels. Only the X axis and the table differ.

What is 1,600 mm of X used for? Long parts, first of all: machine beds, rails, die shoes, extrusions. The other common use is pendulum-style work, with a fixture at each end of the table so that one is loaded while the other is cut. The 36 m/min rapid traverse keeps the move between them short.

The axis motors are listed as 3.5/3.5/4.5 kW, the largest Z motor in the range.

A long table with a 1,200 kg limit deserves the same caution as on the smaller machines. Fixture weight comes out of the same allowance as the part. The control is Mitsubishi M80A-8A as standard, with a FANUC 0i MF available as an option.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 1,600 mm X travel on a 1,750 x 700 mm table
  • 11/30 kW spindle with 77.8/191 Nm
  • Room for two fixtures and pendulum-style loading
  • 3.5/3.5/4.5 kW axis motors

Limitations

  • Table load is 1,200 kg (2,646 lb), no more than on the TMC 1300
  • 10,000 rpm BBT 40 spindle is the only standard spindle
  • Y travel of 700 mm limits plate width

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How large is the Dener TMC 1600?

Axis travels are 1,600 mm in X, 700 mm in Y and 700 mm in Z, with a 1,750 x 700 mm table rated at 1,200 kg (2,646 lb).

02 Is the TMC 1600 spindle different from the TMC 1300?

No. Both list a BBT 40 spindle at 10,000 rpm with 11/30 kW of motor power and 77.8/191 Nm of torque. Only the X travel and table differ.

03 What axis motors does it have?

The table lists axis motor powers of 3.5/3.5/4.5 kW for X, Y and Z. Rapid traverse is 36 m/min on each axis, with cutting feeds of 1~15 m/min.

04 What comes standard with the machine?

A Mitsubishi M80A-8A control with Navi-Mill, a 24-tool arm-type ATC, a fully enclosed cabin, a steel belt chip conveyor, automatic lubrication and rigid tapping.
