Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Anderson Stratos Pro that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Anderson Stratos Pro is the full-size production model of the Stratos line, a traveling gantry router with a 3700 mm (146 in) by 1600 mm (63 in) table, 4 vacuum zones and an 18 HP spindle on HSK 63 tooling. Strokes are 3900 mm (154 in) in X, 2180 mm (86 in) in Y and 350 mm (14 in) in Z.
What sets it apart is how fast the gantry moves between cuts. X and Y each rapid at 100 M/min and the maximum rapid traverse is 141 M/min, with Z at 30 M/min. A nest of small cabinet parts is mostly travel: the tool lifts, crosses to the next part and plunges again, hundreds of times a sheet. That is the work these figures are for.
The spindle runs to 24000 rpm. A ride-along tool changer with 10 or 12 positions travels with the head, and a boring block in 5+5 or 10+7 form handles shelf-pin and hinge patterns without a tool change. Control is FANUC 0i.
Four zones let the table hold a full sheet or switch off the unused area when a smaller blank is loaded. Vacuum pumps of 10, 25 or 40 HP are listed. Automatic loading, an offload pusher, a bar-code reader, reverse air flow, a C-axis and the Vector Spindle HSK 63-E are all optional, and Anderson presents the Pro as the core router of an automated line. None of those items is part of the base machine, so a quotation should name each one.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Rapids of 100 M/min in X and Y with a maximum rapid traverse of 141 M/min
- Table of 3700 mm (146 in) by 1600 mm (63 in) divided into 4 vacuum zones
- 350 mm (14 in) of Z stroke, against 250 mm (10 in) on the Stratos SUP/NEST
- Ride-along tool changer with 10 or 12 positions plus a 5+5 or 10+7 boring block
- Automatic loading and an offload pusher are available as options for line operation
Limitations
- Spindle power is 18 HP only; there is no smaller or larger rating in the table apart from the optional Vector Spindle HSK 63-E
- The table is 1600 mm (63 in) in Y, so sheets wider than that call for the Stratos Pro XL
- Loading, offloading, bar-code reading and the C-axis are all extra-cost options
- Anderson's table gives no machine weight or floor area for this model

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Rapid travel is 100 M/min in X, 100 M/min in Y and 30 M/min in Z, and the maximum rapid traverse, with X and Y moving together, is 141 M/min. These are positioning rates between cuts. The table lists no cutting feed rate, which depends on the tool and the material.
02
The table is 3700 mm (146 in) in X and 1600 mm (63 in) in Y, with strokes of 3900 mm (154 in) and 2180 mm (86 in). The Stratos Pro 24 keeps the same width on a 7700 mm (303 in) table, and the Stratos Pro XL widens the table to 2100 mm (83 in) in Y.
03
Yes, with options. Automatic loading, an offload pusher and a bar-code reader are each listed as optional on this model. Anderson states that the Stratos Pro and Pro 24 support these systems and positions them as the core router of an automated processing line.
04
An 18 HP HSK 63 spindle running to 24000 rpm, a ride-along tool changer with 10 or 12 positions and a boring block in 5+5 or 10+7 form. The larger block suits case goods with many system holes. The Vector Spindle HSK 63-E is listed as an option.
