Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Anderson FDC-1432 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Anderson FDC-1432 is the 3.2 m member of Anderson's FDC-14 double column machining centers: 3,200 mm (126.0 in) of X travel on a 3,200 x 1,200 mm (126.0 x 47.2 in) table. Y travel is 1,400 mm (55.1 in) and Z travel 900 mm (35.4 in).
The table rating is the important change at this length. It rises to 8,000 kg (17,637 lb), from the 5,000 kg (11,023 lb) of the FDC-1422. That opens the machine to steel mould bases, press plates and machine beds that the two shorter models cannot carry, and it is the reason to choose this size even for parts that would fit a shorter table.
How heavy is the machine doing the carrying? 17,000 kg (37,478 lb), only a little more than the shorter models, on a floor space of 8,130 x 4,150 mm (320.1 x 163.4 in). A part at the rated load therefore adds almost half the machine's own weight to the foundation, which is worth raising with whoever designs the slab.
Rapids are 16/20/20 m/min and the feed rate is 10,000 mm/min. The spindle is the series unit: ISO 50, 8,000 rpm, 15/18.5 kW, with 1,800 kgf of draw bar force. Anderson says the machines hold accuracy across the whole work envelope through ballscrews and linear guides, but it publishes no positioning or repeatability figure for the series, so acceptance values should be agreed in the order. Control can be FANUC, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Fagor or Heidenhain.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
8,000 kg (17,637 lb). The table is 3,200 x 1,200 mm (126.0 x 47.2 in). The FDC-1417 and FDC-1422 are rated for 5,000 kg (11,023 lb), so the step to this size brings load capacity as well as length.
02
3,200 mm (126.0 in) in X, 1,400 mm (55.1 in) in Y and 900 mm (35.4 in) in Z. Y travel is larger than the 1,200 mm table width, so the spindle can reach past both long edges of the table.
03
17,000 kg (37,478 lb), with a floor space of 8,130 x 4,150 mm (320.1 x 163.4 in) and a machine height of 4,440 mm (174.8 in). The power requirement is 50 kVA and the coolant capacity 900 L.
04
Yes, the FDC-1442, with 4,200 mm (165.4 in) of X travel and the same 8,000 kg (17,637 lb) table load. The FDC-1442 has a lower X rapid, 12 m/min against 16 m/min, and weighs 18,000 kg (39,683 lb).
