Overview
On the Accuway UV-75EC the 750 mm class vertical lathe gets a BMT turret with servo mechanical drive in place of the hydraulic BOT unit. The rest of the table is that of the UV-75E: 750 mm (29.5 in) maximum turning diameter, 700 mm (27.6 in) turning length, an A2-11 spindle and 15,000 kg (33,069 lb) of machine.
For a part this size, live tooling changes the routing. A flange 700 mm across that needs a bolt circle would otherwise be lifted to a machining center and re-clocked. The options list for the UV-75EC includes 0 degree and 90 degree rotary tool holders, so holes and flats can be cut in the same chucking. The table does not print rotary tool speed or power, however, and those must be confirmed.
Spindle power is 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp) with belt drive. Speed reads 1,600 (630) rpm and the chuck 24 (32) in, the brackets being unexplained on the page; an upgrade to a 32" (40") hydraulic chuck and cylinder and a gearbox are both optional.
