Overview
On the Accuway UT-100MX the loader is bigger than the lathe. Its traverse axis has a 1,650 mm (65.0 in) stroke, against a lathe Z travel of 230 mm (9.1 in), and the loader has its own control system, named in the table as OMRON.
The long traverse is what turns the UT-100 from a self-loading lathe into a small cell. A stroke of that length reaches well beyond the machine, to a stocker or conveyor at the side, and the machine length grows to 3.1 m to match.
