Overview
The Accuway UT-100 is a small chucker that loads itself. A two-axis lathe with a 6 in chuck is combined with a built-in gantry loader, in a cell 1.7 m long that weighs 1,900 kg (4,189 lb). Accuway lists it under integrated loader lathes.
The loader defines what parts suit the machine. Its material rows read 10~60 mm (0.4~2.4 in) in diameter and 20~100 mm (0.8~3.9 in) in length, and the weight row reads One side: 0.5/1 kg (1/2 lb). These are small slugs, forgings and sawn blanks. The loader's two axes each have a 360 mm (14.2 in) stroke and move at 84 m/min (3,307 in/min), several times faster than the lathe's own slides, so the exchange takes little of the cycle.
The lathe itself can turn more than the loader can carry. Maximum turning diameter is 180 mm (7.1 in) and turning length 175 mm (6.9 in), on travels of 120 mm (4.7 in) in X and 230 mm (9.1 in) in Z. The spindle is A2-5, 6,000 rpm, with a 5.5/7.5 kW (7.4/10.1 hp) motor and a 30 mm (1.2 in) bar capacity. Twelve stations take 20 mm (0.8 in) square and 32 mm (1.3 in) round shanks.
There are no rotary tools on this version; the UT-100M adds them. No tailstock is listed, which fits short chucking work. A 15 bar high pressure coolant system and a tool setter are optional. Guideways are box type.
