Excetek NP600L Plus — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Excetek NP600L Plus that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Excetek or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

Largest of the three NP models, the Excetek NP600L Plus has 600 mm (23.6 in) of X travel, 400 mm (15.7 in) of Y and a Z axis that Excetek lists two ways: 310/410 mm (12.2/16.1 in), the second figure marked as an option. Several rows of the table follow that split. Maximum workpiece size is 1,000 x 700 x 305/405 mm, workpiece weight 800/850 kg (1,764/1,874 lb), machine weight 4,000/4,100 kg and dielectric tank capacity 900/1,000 L.

So there are in effect two machines under one name, and the taller one should be specified at order. Does the work need it? A 405 mm part height covers deep extrusion dies and stacked plates that the standard column cannot submerge.

The NP600L Plus is also the only NP model with more U/V travel than its siblings: 160 x 160 mm (6.3 x 6.3 in), against 120 x 120 mm on the NP500L Plus. The taper row is unchanged at ±30° over 100 mm (3.9 in) with the wide diamond guide and nozzle, so the longer U/V stroke matters for holding an angle through thicker sections, not for a steeper one.

Like the rest of the series it drives X and Y with linear motors, uses AC servo motors on U, V and Z, and reads position from a 0.1 μm high-resolution digital ruler. Automatic wire threading, XY linear scales, an automatic deionizer and an automatic chiller are part of the machine as listed. One option is unique to this size. The list includes an Auto Front Door marked "Only NP600L", useful where a robot arm loads the tank, which Excetek names among the automation features. Floor space is 2,805 x 2,985 x 2,180 mm (110.4 x 117.5 x 85.8 in).

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 600 x 400 mm (23.6 x 15.7 in) X/Y stroke, the largest in the NP series
  • Optional taller Z raises part height from 305 mm to 405 mm; Excetek prints the pair as 305/405 mm
  • U/V travel of 160 x 160 mm (6.3 x 6.3 in), more than the 120 x 120 mm of the NP400L Plus
  • Linear motors on X and Y, with AC servo motors on U, V and Z
  • An Auto Front Door is offered as an option on this model only
  • AWT and XY axis linear scales are standard accessories

Limitations

  • The 410 mm Z travel is an option, and it adds to machine weight and tank capacity: 4,000/4,100 kg and 900/1,000 L
  • Taper stays at ±30° over 100 mm (3.9 in) despite the longer U/V stroke
  • Needs 2,805 x 2,985 mm (110.4 x 117.5 in) of floor before service access is counted
  • Workpiece weight tops out at 800/850 kg (1,764/1,874 lb), light for a tank that accepts a 1,000 x 700 mm plate

Best For

Die plates up to 1,000 x 700 mm (39.4 x 27.6 in) Tall work that needs the optional 410 mm (16.1 in) Z travel Thick tapered sections using 160 x 160 mm (6.3 x 6.3 in) of U/V Robot-loaded cells with the optional Auto Front Door

Frequently Asked Questions

01 Why does the NP600L Plus table show two figures in several rows?

Because Z travel is offered as 310/410 mm (12.2/16.1 in), with the larger stroke marked as an option. The rows that depend on column height are printed as pairs to match: workpiece size 1,000 x 700 x 305/405 mm, workpiece weight 800/850 kg, machine weight 4,000/4,100 kg and tank capacity 900/1,000 L.

02 What is the X/Y travel of the NP600L Plus?

600 mm (23.6 in) in X and 400 mm (15.7 in) in Y. The NP500L Plus below it has 500 mm (19.7 in) of X and 300 mm (11.8 in) of Y.

03 Does the NP600L Plus cut a steeper taper than the smaller NP machines?

No. The maximum taper angle is listed as ±30° over 100 mm (3.9 in) with the wide diamond guide and nozzle, the same as on the other NP models. What grows is the U/V travel, to 160 x 160 mm (6.3 x 6.3 in).

04 What is the Auto Front Door option?

It is an entry in the options list marked "Only NP600L". The standard machine has the power slider door that Excetek describes as saving installation space. Other options include a W axis, a clamping beam, the Jumbo Feeder L-50A and the auto measurement system.
