The Accurl SMART Cube X 1001.20 is the smallest machine on Accurl's X-Series laser platform, with a work area listed as 1,050 mm (41.3 in) in length and 2,035 mm (80.1 in) in width and a maximum workpiece weight of 350 kg (772 lb). It is a fiber laser with an automatic shuttle table included as standard, which is uncommon at this size.
Small-format machines are normally bought for space, and that is the argument here. Accurl describes a weight-optimized, highly rigid construction with a low center of gravity. The gantry is structural steel, the X and Y axes run on linear guides with helical toothed racks driven on both sides, and traverse speed is up to 120,000 mm/min.
