How much does the YCM T11 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the YCM T11 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The YCM T11 is one of two machines in the maker's newest vertical line, a 50-taper machining center with 1,100 mm (43.31 in) of X travel, 635 mm (25.00 in) of Y and 630 mm (24.80 in) of Z. YCM states that the T11 and T13 are the first machine tools in the industry certified to ISO14955, the standard for energy-efficient machine tools.
Structurally it is a successor to the T-base idea. YCM calls the casting an inverted Y shape that supports the table over the full stroke without overhang. There is no counterweight, the axes run on roller linear guides with large ball screws, and the Y axis has four roller guideways. Unlike the older square-way machines of the same taper, it rapids at 30 m/min (1,181 ipm) in X and Y and 24 m/min (945 ipm) in Z, and feeds at up to 20,000 mm/min.
The spindle list is wide. Standard is a BBT50 IDD spindle at 6,000 rpm with 15 kW (20.1 HP). The options are 6,000 or 10,000 rpm with 30 or 48 kW (40.2 or 64.4 HP). The standard rating is modest for the taper, so a buyer who intends to rough steel should look at the optional spindles first.
The table measures 1,300 x 635 mm (51.18 x 25 in) and takes 1,200 kg (2,646 lb). Tools up to 20 kg (44.1 lb) sit in a 24-tool magazine, with 32 and 40 optional. YCM's application examples are a P20 plastic mold and an aluminium engine block. Machine weight is 10,500 kg (23,148 lb).

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- ISO14955 certified, which YCM says is a first in the industry
- Rapids of 30 m/min (1,181 ipm) in X and Y on a 50-taper machine
- Roller linear guides on all axes, with 4 roller guideways on Y
- Spindle options of 30 and 48 kW (40.2 and 64.4 HP) and 10,000 rpm
- Full-stroke table support without overhang and no counterweight
Limitations
- Standard spindle power is 15 kW (20.1 HP), low for a BBT50 spindle
- Standard spindle speed is 6,000 rpm
- Table load of 1,200 kg (2,646 lb) is below the 1,500 kg (3,307 lb) of the T13
- Y travel of 635 mm (25.00 in)

Frequently Asked Questions
01
YCM states that the T11 and T13 are the first in the industry to obtain ISO14955 certification for green machine tools. It describes energy-efficient peripheral equipment, lightweight design and carbon-emission monitoring as part of the concept.
02
A BBT50 IDD spindle at 6,000 rpm with 15 kW (20.1 HP) is standard. The options column lists 6,000 and 10,000 rpm and 30 and 48 kW (40.2 and 64.4 HP). Ask YCM which power rating goes with which speed.
03
Travels are 1,100 mm (43.31 in) in X, 635 mm (25.00 in) in Y and 630 mm (24.80 in) in Z. The table is 1,300 x 635 mm (51.18 x 25 in), carries 1,200 kg (2,646 lb), and spindle nose to table is 150-780 mm (5.91-30.71 in).
04
The T13 is the longer machine: 1,300 mm (51.18 in) of X, 680 mm (26.77 in) of Y, a 1,500 x 680 mm (59.06 x 26.77 in) table rated for 1,500 kg (3,307 lb), and 11,000 kg (24,251 lb). Spindles, rapids and magazines are listed with the same figures.
