YCM NSV156A — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the YCM NSV156A that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from YCM or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The YCM NSV156A stretches the NSV concept to 1,530 mm (60.24 in) of X travel without giving up axis speed: every axis still rapids at 48 m/min (1,890 ipm). Y travel is 650 mm (25.59 in), Z is 610 mm (24.02 in), and the table is a long 1,630 x 650 mm (64.17 x 25.59 in) rated for 1,500 kg (3,307 lb).

Spindle power is where it stands apart. The standard IDD spindle gives 25 kW (33.5 HP) at 12,000 rpm, and the options column lists 37 and 48 kW (49.6 and 64.4 HP), with 15,000 or 12,000 rpm as the optional speeds. 48 kW on a BBT40 taper is a spindle for clearing aluminium in volume, and the rest of the machine is described with that in mind: YCM mentions aluminium chip disposal in connection with the guideways and ball screws, and fits a quad chip auger as standard for large amounts of aluminium chips.

A long table at high rapid speed needs a stiff column. YCM lists an extra large delta column, wide guideway spacing and double-nut ball screws, and the machine weighs 10,000 kg (22,046 lb). The 30-tool magazine is column mounted with an automatic door.

Two ranges are printed for spindle nose to table, 80~690 mm and, in brackets, 330~940 mm. The page does not say what the bracketed range belongs to, so ask YCM before planning tall fixtures around it.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 48 m/min (1,890 ipm) rapids on all axes over 1,530 mm (60.24 in) of X travel
  • 25 kW (33.5 HP) standard spindle with 37 and 48 kW options
  • Table load of 1,500 kg (3,307 lb) on a 1,630 x 650 mm (64.17 x 25.59 in) table
  • Quad chip auger as standard for large volumes of aluminium chips
  • Column-mounted 30-tool magazine with automatic door

Limitations

  • Only a 30-tool magazine is listed
  • Y travel of 650 mm (25.59 in) is narrow next to 1,530 mm of X
  • BBT40 tools are limited to 6 kg (13.2 lb) and ø125 x 300 mm without adjacent tools
  • The bracketed spindle nose to table range is not explained on the page

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How powerful is the NSV156A spindle?

The standard spindle is rated 25 kW (33.5 HP) at 12,000 rpm with a BBT40 taper. Optional ratings of 37 and 48 kW (49.6 and 64.4 HP) are listed, with 15,000 or 12,000 rpm as the optional speeds. Ask YCM which power goes with which speed.

02 What are the travels and rapids of the NSV156A?

X travel is 1,530 mm (60.24 in), Y is 650 mm (25.59 in) and Z is 610 mm (24.02 in). Rapid traverse is 48 m/min (1,890 ipm) on each axis, and cutting feed is 1~20,000 mm/min (0.04~787 ipm).

03 How much weight does the table take?

1,500 kg (3,307 lb) on a table of 1,630 x 650 mm (64.17 x 25.59 in) with T-slots listed as 6 x 18 x 100 mm. The machine itself weighs 10,000 kg (22,046 lb).

04 How does it compare with the NSV106AS?

The NSV106AS has 1,020 mm (40.16 in) of X travel, a 37 kW (50 HP) spindle at 15,000 rpm and a 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) table. The NSV156A has half as much X travel again, a 1,500 kg (3,307 lb) table and spindle options up to 48 kW.
