How much does the Vision Wide XML-57 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Vision Wide XML-57 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Vision Wide XML-57 is the widest XML, with 5,700 mm (224.4 in) of Y travel, a maximum workpiece width of 5,600 mm (220.5 in) and a table listed as 5×(8~60) m.
Note the jump in the series. The XML models run 37, 42, 47 and then 57; there is no 52. A buyer needing about five metres between the columns goes either to the XML-47, which takes 4,600 mm (181.1 in), or to this model.
Why choose the XML-57 over the XMF-57, which has the same Y travel? Height and mass. The XML has a 580x580 mm (22.8x22.8 in) ram and 1,500 mm of standard Z, with 2,200 mm at most. The XMF-57 has a 680 x 680 mm (26.8 x 26.8 in) ram and 2,500 mm (98.4 in) of Z. For wide parts that are not tall, such as large base frames, platform sections and plate fabrications, the lighter ram is the appropriate tool.
One row of the XML table cannot be used as printed. The table load is given in kilograms without the per-square-metre unit the other series use, so the rating for this five-metre table needs confirming.
Spindle power is 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp), rapids are 20/20/12 m/min, and X travel is 8,200(+1m)~60,200 mm.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Y travel is 5,700 mm (224.4 in) and the maximum workpiece width is 5,600 mm (220.5 in). The table is listed as 5×(8~60) m.
02
Both have 5,700 mm (224.4 in) of Y travel. The XML-57 has a 580x580 mm (22.8x22.8 in) ram and 1,500 mm of standard Z. The XMF-57 has a 680 x 680 mm (26.8 x 26.8 in) ram and Z of 2,500/3,000 mm (98.4/118.1 in) (Opt.).
03
The page does not make it clear. The XML table prints the load in kilograms, where the XM, XMF and XMS tables give a load per square metre. Ask Vision Wide for the rating.
04
1,500 mm as standard, with 1,800 mm, 2,000 mm and 2,200 mm as options. Spindle nose to table distance is 850~2,350 mm (33.5~92.5 in) with the standard stroke.
