Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Vision Wide SV-800 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Vision Wide SV-800 is the smallest machine in the SV line of vertical machining centers: 800 mm (31.5 in) of X travel, 500 mm (19.7 in) of Y and 510 mm (20.1 in) of Z over a 900×450 mm (35.4×17.7 in) table. It is the entry point to a series that runs up to the SV-1680 with 1,600 mm (63.0 in) of X.
Speed is what sets this size apart. Rapids are 36 / 36 / 30 m/min, quicker than the 30 / 30 / 24 m/min of the next model up, the SV-855, and the cutting feed range is 1-11 m/min where every other SV stops at 1-10 m/min. Vision Wide drives X, Y and Z with motors coupled directly to the ball-screws and runs the Z axis without a counterbalance, which it says is for high acceleration.
The table carries 500 kg (1,102 lb). That is enough for a vise row or a small mold insert, but it is the lowest rating in the family, so weigh the fixture before planning a heavy block on it. The spindle is listed at 7.5/11 kW (10.1/14.8 hp), the continuous and short-time ratings, with 10,000 rpm as the standard speed and 12,000 / 15,000 rpm listed after it. In the accessory lists the 10,000 rpm #40 direct driven spindle is standard and the 12,000/15,000rpm versions are optional.
Tooling follows the same pattern: a 24 tools magazine with arm type ATC is standard and a 32 tools magazine is the option. Linear scale feedback on X, Y and Z, coolant through the spindle at 20/50bar and a rotary table are all on the optional list, so a quotation should name each one that the work needs.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Rapids of 36 / 36 / 30 m/min, faster than the 30 / 30 / 24 m/min of the SV-855 and SV-1166
- Cutting feed range of 1-11 m/min, the widest listed in the SV series
- Standard spindle speed of 10,000 rpm with 12,000 / 15,000 rpm versions available as options
- Roller type linear guideways on all three axes, with direct-driven ball-screws
- 24 tools arm type ATC as standard, 32 tools optional
Limitations
- Table load is 500 kg (1,102 lb), the lowest in the SV series
- Y travel of 500 mm (19.7 in) and a 450 mm (17.7 in) deep table limit fixtures to a single row of vises
- Spindle power is 7.5/11 kW (10.1/14.8 hp); the SV-1480 and SV-1680 are listed at 11 / 15 kW (14.8 / 20.1 hp)
- Linear scales, coolant through spindle and the 32 tools magazine are optional, not part of the base machine

Frequently Asked Questions
01
X travel is 800 mm (31.5 in), Y is 500 mm (19.7 in) and Z is 510 mm (20.1 in). The table measures 900×450 mm (35.4×17.7 in) and is rated for 500 kg (1,102 lb).
02
The SV-800 lists rapids of 36 / 36 / 30 m/min on X, Y and Z and a cutting feed range of 1-11 m/min. The SV-855 lists 30 / 30 / 24 m/min and 1-10 m/min, in exchange for 850 mm (33.5 in) of X and 550 mm (21.7 in) of Y travel.
03
The standard accessory list names a 10,000 rpm #40 direct driven spindle, and the table gives 7.5/11 kW (10.1/14.8 hp) as the continuous and short-time power. 12,000/15,000rpm #40 direct driven spindles are listed as options.
04
The table lists 24 / 32 pcs. The accessory lists make the split clear: a 24 tools magazine with arm type ATC is standard and a 32 tools magazine with arm type ATC is optional.
