How much does the Vision Wide SF-3126 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Vision Wide SF-3126 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Vision Wide SF-3126 takes the 3,300×2,100 mm (129.9×82.7 in) table of the heavy SF frame and puts 2,600 mm (102.4 in) of Y travel over it. X travel is 3,100 mm (122.0 in).
Why would the cross travel be so much longer than the table is wide? Because the spindle sometimes has to work beside the part, not only above it. With a right-angle or AC head attachment fitted, the tool points sideways and the ram must travel past the edge of the workpiece before it can come down and cut a side face. Vision Wide's option list refers to head attachments in two places, and the extra Y on this model is what gives them room on a full-width part.
Compared with the SF-3122, which has 2,200 mm (86.6 in) of Y, nothing else in the table moves. Load stays at 14,000 kg (30,864 lb), rapids at 20 m/min in X and Y, and the spindle at 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp).
For vertical-only work the shorter-Y model does the same job. This one is for five-sided machining of wide blocks, and the two should be quoted side by side before deciding.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 2,600 mm (102.4 in) of Y travel over a 2,100 mm (82.7 in) wide table
- 14,000 kg (30,864 lb) table load
- Room for the spindle to pass the edge of a full-width part
- Optional Z axis travel 1,020mm on the box way head for AC head attachment
Limitations
- The extra Y adds nothing for work done only from above
- The SF page does not list the head attachments themselves
- X travel of 3,100 mm (122.0 in) is shorter than the table

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Y travel is 2,600 mm (102.4 in) and the table is 3,300×2,100 mm (129.9×82.7 in). The maker does not state a reason. In practice, travel beyond the table edge lets the spindle, or a head attachment on it, reach the sides of a part that fills the table.
02
The SF-3122 has 2,200 mm (86.6 in) of Y travel; the SF-3126 has 2,600 mm (102.4 in). The table, the 14,000 kg (30,864 lb) load, the spindle and the rapids are identical in the specification table.
03
A 6,000rpm 2-step gear type spindle on a box way Z axis is standard, with 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp). A 4,000rpm geared spindle and faster belt-driven and direct-driven spindles are optional.
04
Cutting feed is 1-10,000 mm/min. Rapid traverse is 20 m/min in X and Y and 15 m/min in Z, as listed for all three machines with this Y travel.
