Overview
The Vision Wide VB-3020 has 3,100 mm (122.0 in) of X travel, 2,000 mm (78.7 in) of Y and a 3,100×1,700 mm (122.0×66.9 in) table for 11,000 kg (24,250 lb). It is a plain, heavy three-axis machine as delivered, and the option list is where it can be extended.
Four options change what it can do. A rotary table adds a fourth axis for indexing a part to several faces. X/Y/Z axis linear scale replaces motor-side feedback with direct measurement. Auto workpiece measurement lets the machine locate a casting before cutting it. And the coolant options, through-spindle at 20 / 70 bar, through the tool holder at 5 / 20 bar, or oil mist (MQL), decide how well it drills deep holes.
None of those is standard. The base machine is a 4,000 rpm two-step gear spindle, 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp), a Fanuc 0iMF PLUS control, a ball screw cooling system, and screw and caterpillar chip conveyors.
Rapids are 12 m/min in X and Y and 15 m/min in Z, and cutting feed is 1-7,000 mm/min. Z travel is 800 mm, with 1,020 mm optional. For a shop that knows what it will cut, the right two or three options make this a much more capable machine than the base specification suggests.
