How much does the Vision Wide HF-5040 / HF-5047 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Vision Wide HF-5040 / HF-5047 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Vision Wide HF-5040 / HF-5047 has a 5,000×3,500 mm (196.9×137.8 in) table, 5,100 mm (200.8 in) of X travel and 4,000 mm (157.5 in) or 4,700 mm (185.0 in) of Y. It carries 24,000 kg (52,910 lb).
Power is where the HF separates from the lighter Vision Wide bridge machines. The standard motor is 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp), continuous and short-time. One option is listed above it, 30/37 kW (40.2/49.6 hp). There is no smaller motor in the HF table.
How that power reaches the cut depends on the spindle. Through the standard box way 2-step gear spindle at 4,000 rpm, it is delivered as torque at low speed, the right form for face mills of large diameter and for boring. Through the optional 6,000 rpm gear spindle the range shifts upward. The optional direct-driven spindle, 10,000 rpm in the table, gives up the gearbox entirely and belongs on a machine set up for finishing.
Vision Wide publishes no torque figure for the HF spindles. On a machine sold for heavy cutting, that is the number to request, for each gear range.
X/Y rapid is 10 m/min and cutting feed 1-7,000 mm/min.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp) is the standard rating and 30/37 kW (40.2/49.6 hp) is optional. The two figures in each pair are the continuous and short-time ratings.
02
No. The table gives spindle power and speeds of 4,000 rpm, 6,000 rpm and 10,000 rpm for the different spindles, but no torque. Request the torque curve for the spindle and gear range being quoted.
