Overview

The table of the Vision Wide MHN-10035 / MHN-10042 is supported for the whole of its stroke. Vision Wide describes a full stroke supported design with a thick, extra-wide bed, and says it increases table load capacity and the dynamic level of the workpiece in motion, for cutting stability and resistance to vibration.

On a short machine the point is minor. On a ten-metre one it is not. The table is 10,000×3,000 mm (393.7×118.1 in) and X travel is 10,100 mm (397.6 in). If the bed were no longer than needed to guide the table's centre, the ends of the table would overhang at the limits of travel, and a heavy part would sink a little as it moved outward. A bed that carries the table at every position keeps the part at one height from end to end.

That is how a 36,000 kg (79,365 lb) rating can be given without qualification.

Y travel is 3,500 mm (137.8 in) on the MHN-10035 and 4,200 mm (165.4 in) on the MHN-10042. Both axes have ball screw supports. X/Y rapid is 8 m/min and cutting feed 1-7,000 mm/min. The spindle motor is 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp), with 30/37 kW (40.2/49.6 hp) as the option.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What does full stroke supported mean on the Vision Wide MHN-10035?

Vision Wide describes a full stroke supported design with a thick, extra-wide bed structure that increases table load capacity and workpiece movement dynamic level. In practice the table is carried by the bed at every point of its travel.

02 What are the MHN-10035 / MHN-10042 table and load?

10,000×3,000 mm (393.7×118.1 in) and 36,000 kg (79,365 lb). X travel is 10,100 mm (397.6 in), and the bed supports the table over all of it.

03 How does the MHN-10035 compare with the MN-10032?

Both have 10,100 mm (397.6 in) of X travel. The MHN-10035 carries 36,000 kg (79,365 lb) on a 10,000×3,000 mm (393.7×118.1 in) table. The MN-10032 carries 26,000 kg (57,319 lb) on a 10,000×2,450 mm (393.7×96.5 in) table.

04 What Y travel do the MHN-10035 and MHN-10042 have?

3,500 mm (137.8 in) and 4,200 mm (165.4 in) respectively, from the shared row 3,500/ 4,200 mm (137.8/ 165.4 in).
