Overview
For a block that weighs up to 10,000 kg (22,046 lb) and needs machining on its sides as well as its top, the Vision Wide SF-3127 offers a 3,000x1,800 mm (118.1x70.9 in) table under 3,100 mm (122.0 in) of X and 2,700 mm (106.3 in) of Y travel.
The low-speed spindle option makes more sense on this model than on most. Vision Wide lists a 4,000rpm 2-step gear type spindle as an alternative to the standard 6,000rpm unit. The page gives no torque figure for either, but a lower top speed in a two-step gearbox is the usual way to get more torque at the bottom of the range, and that suits large face mills and boring bars in cast iron. A shop cutting mostly aluminium or finishing molds would stay with 6,000 rpm, or look at the SF-3120, whose table lists direct-driven spindles at 10,000 rpm and 12,000 rpm.
Spindle power is 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp), or 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp) optionally. The Z axis is box way with 800 mm of travel.
