Vision Wide GSF-4032 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Vision Wide GSF-4032 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Vision Wide or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

A fixed table of 4,000 x 3,200 mm (157.5 x 126.0 in), rated 3,000 kg/m2, sits under the five-axis gantry of the Vision Wide GSF-4032. X travel is 4,000 mm (157.5 in) and Y travel 3,200 mm (126.0 in).

The load figure deserves a second reading. It is a pressure, the weight the table accepts on each square metre, and since the table is part of the machine base it has no bearing on axis performance. A heavy steel die and a light layup tool are cut with the same acceleration. For a shop that machines both, that consistency is one of the practical arguments for a gantry.

What the figure does not tell you is the limit for a concentrated load, such as a tall part standing on a small footprint. That needs the maker's guidance.

The machine is aimed at five-axis mold and structure work at speed. The built-in spindle is direct-driven on B and C and turns 15,000 rpm with 50/65 kW (67.1/87.2 hp). The linear axes rapid at 32 m/min in X and Y and 20 m/min in Z, with a cutting feed range of 1-20,000 mm/min. X and Z use dual ballscrews, and the X screws are supported at this length. A HEIDENHAIN TNC640 is standard.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 4,000 x 3,200 mm (157.5 x 126.0 in) fixed table
  • Table load of 3,000 kg/m2 independent of axis dynamics
  • Dual ballscrews on X and Z with supported X screws
  • 50/65 kW (67.1/87.2 hp), 15,000 rpm five-axis head

Limitations

  • No guidance on concentrated loads on the page
  • Y axis runs on a single ballscrew over 3,200 mm (126.0 in)
  • Z travel of 1,000/1,200 mm (39.4/47.2 in)

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What does the 3,000 kg/m2 table load of the Vision Wide GSF-4032 mean?

It is the load the fixed table accepts per square metre. The table measures 4,000 x 3,200 mm (157.5 x 126.0 in). Vision Wide gives no total and no figure for concentrated loads.

02 What are the travels of the GSF-4032?

4,000 mm (157.5 in) in X, 3,200 mm (126.0 in) in Y and 1,000/1,200 mm (39.4/47.2 in) in Z. The GSF-4027 has the same X with 2,700 mm (106.3 in) of Y.

03 How is the GSF-4032 driven?

The X and Z axes are driven by dual ballscrews and the Y axis by a single ballscrew. An X axis ball screw support device is standard for axes of 4m and above, and X has dual linear scales.

04 What control does the GSF-4032 use?

A HEIDENHAIN TNC640 controller is standard. A SIEMENS 840D SL controller is offered as an option, and no other control is named in the GSF accessory lists.
