Overview
The Vision Wide FA-6033 and the NF-6026 have the same table: 6,000×2,450 mm (236.2×96.5 in), rated for 22,000 kg (48,501 lb), under 6,100 mm (240.2 in) of X travel. What sits above the table is different, and the difference is the choice between five-axis and five-face machining.
The NF-6026 changes attachment heads to reach the sides of a part and cuts with three axes at a time. Its standard spindle is a geared low-speed unit. The FA-6033 has a permanent two-axis head that moves during the cut, a 12,000 rpm HSK-A100 spindle with 162 / 205 Nm (119 / 151 lb-ft), a HEIDENHAIN TNC640 and linear scales on every axis as standard.
So the FA is the machine for contoured surfaces on big parts: large mold cavities, blade and vane forms, aerospace tooling. The NF is the machine for square faces, bores and heavy stock removal.
Y travel on the FA-6033 is 3,300 mm (129.9 in) and port width 2,700 mm (106.3 in). X rapid is 10 m/min, with 15 m/min in Y and Z. The floor-standing changer is listed at 24 tools, with 32 and 40 as options.
