Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Emco Maxxmill 750 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Emco calls the Maxxmill 750 a machine for 4+1-axis machining. In practice that means a moving-column vertical spindle over a 750x600 mm swivel-rotary table, used to reach five sides of a part in one clamping. Linear travels are 750+50 mm, 610 mm (24.0 in) and 500 mm (19.7 in) in X, Y and Z.
Compared with the smaller Maxxmill 630 the gains are in the table and the magazine. The table carries 300 kg (661 lb), and the tool changer is listed as 30 (40/60/90): 30 stations as the base and 40, 60 or 90 as alternatives. A 90-tool magazine is a real asset on a 4+1 machine, where a single program often covers five faces and needs many tools without operator attention.
The spindle choice is the same pair as on the smaller model. The mechanical spindle gives 50-12000 rpm, 15 kW (20.1 hp) and 100 Nm (73.8 lb-ft) at S6. The motor spindle gives 50-15000 rpm with 20 kW (26.8 hp). Feed force is 5000/5000/5000 N in the three linear axes.
Height under the spindle is 175/675 mm from nose to table. Take the tilting fixture and the longest tool off that before judging part height. The machine needs 2,840 x 3,500 x 3,060 mm (111.8 x 137.8 x 120.5 in) and weighs 7,900 kg (17,416 lb). Controls are Siemens or Heidenhain, and EMCONNECT is available with the Sinumerik ONE.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 750x600 mm swivel-rotary table for 5-sided machining
- Tool changer options of 30 (40/60/90) stations
- Table load of 300 kg (661 lb)
- Motor spindle to 15000 rpm with 20 kW (26.8 hp) available
- Feed force of 5000/5000/5000 N in X/Y/Z
Limitations
- 4+1-axis machine: the rotary axes position the part and are not described as simultaneous
- Working feed is listed as 15/15/15 m/min, half the rapid rate
- Spindle torque is 100 Nm (73.8 lb-ft) on either spindle, modest for heavy steel roughing
- 300 kg (661 lb) of table load has to cover fixture and part together

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The swivel-rotary table gives two rotary axes for positioning the part, so five sides can be machined in one set-up. Emco describes the machine as 4+1-axis and for 5-sided machining; its simultaneous 5-axis machine in this size is the UMILL 750.
02
The table lists 30 (40/60/90). Emco's equipment line reads tool changer with 30/40/60/90 tool stations, so 30 is the base magazine and the larger ones are alternatives.
03
X travel is 750+50 mm, Y 610 mm (24.0 in) and Z 500 mm (19.7 in). The swivel-rotary table measures 750x600 mm and carries 300 kg (661 lb).
04
They share the 750x600 mm table size and similar travels. The UMILL 750 has torque-motor rotary axes for simultaneous machining, rapids of 50/50/50 m/min and a table load of 400 kg (882 lb). The Maxxmill 750 is the 4+1 machine with 30/30/30 m/min rapids.
