Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Prima Power LASERDYNE 795 XL that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Two metres of X travel distinguish the Prima Power LASERDYNE 795 XL. Its travels are X 2,000 mm (78.7 in), Y 1,000 mm (39.4 in) and Z 1,000 mm (39.4 in), where the LASERDYNE 795 XS has 1,000 mm on all three.
The longer axis is for long components and for multiple set-ups. Combustor liners, exhaust ducts, long welded assemblies and fixtures holding several small parts side by side all use the extra metre. It also leaves room for a rotary or tilt table at one end of the envelope with free space beside it. Prima Power offers a variety of rotary and tilt options, and the machine supports 3 to 7+ axes of simultaneous motion.
Nothing else in the table changes with the length, which is the reason to choose on part size alone. X, Y and Z accuracy and repeatability remain 25 um (0.001 in). Linear speed is 20 m/min. The BeamDirector turns at 90 rpm through 900° in C and 300° in D (±150° from vertical), with +/-15 arcsec accuracy and 15 arcsec repeatability.
Two fiber laser families are listed: CW up to 6000 W and QCW from 6000 W to 23000 W. Quick change nozzles let one machine switch between welding, drilling and cutting. Tall work can be accommodated by ordering an extended Z height of 1370 mm (54 in) or 1830 mm (72 in). The frame combines a granite base with a heavy-duty steel weldment, and the LASERDYNE S94P controller ties laser, motion and process sensing together.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- X travel of 2,000 mm (78.7 in) for long parts or several set-ups
- Same 25 um (0.001 in) accuracy and repeatability as the shorter version
- Supports 3 to 7+ axes of simultaneous motion
- Quick change nozzles for moving between welding, drilling and cutting
- Granite base with heavy-duty steel weldment
Limitations
- Y travel remains 1,000 mm (39.4 in)
- Axis speed of 20 m/min makes it slow for long contour cuts
- Extended Z height has to be ordered; standard Z is 1,000 mm
- BeamDirector speed is 90 rpm, lower than the 0-135 rpm of the LASERDYNE 811

Frequently Asked Questions
01
X 2,000 mm (78.7 in), Y 1,000 mm (39.4 in) and Z 1,000 mm (39.4 in). Extended Z heights of 1370 mm (54 in) or 1830 mm (72 in) are available.
02
Not in the published data. Accuracy and repeatability of the X, Y and Z axes are 25 um (0.001 in), the same as for the LASERDYNE 795 XS. BeamDirector accuracy is +/-15 arcsec.
03
The machine supports 3 to 7+ axes of simultaneous motion, and the S94P controller can simultaneously control more than 7 axes. Beyond X, Y, Z and the two BeamDirector axes, the extra axes are rotary or tilt devices chosen from Prima Power's options.
04
Fiber CW up to 6000 W, or fiber QCW from 6000 W to 23000 W. Prima Power describes the sources as energy-efficient with low operating costs and minimal maintenance; the page does not state which powers suit which process.
