Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Flow LZR 4020 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
With a 158 x 79 in (4,013 x 2,007 mm) cutting area, the Flow LZR 4020 is the larger of Flow's two LZR fiber laser cutting machines. The LZR 3015 covers 120 x 60 in (3,048 x 1,524 mm), so this model is about 32% longer and wider at the bed. Laser power is a choice of 6 kW, 12 kW or 20 kW.
What does not grow with the bed is the load it may carry. Maximum workpiece weight is 4,400 lb (1,996 kg), the figure Flow also gives for the LZR 3015. A buyer cutting heavy plate should weigh a full-size plate at the thickest gauge planned before assuming the whole 158 x 79 in area can be used for it. For sheet work the limit is unlikely to matter, and the larger bed simply means bigger blanks or more parts per load.
The extra area comes out of machine length. Overall dimensions are 398 x 119 x 85 in (10,109 x 3,023 x 2,159 mm), and the 119 in (3,023 mm) width matches the LZR 3015, which is 342 in (8,687 mm) long. Z travel is 11.75 in (298 mm) and X and Y rapid traverse is 3,900 in/min (99.1 m/min). Flow lists an automatic nozzle changer and Windows-based CNC software, and gives no cutting thickness by power level.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 158 x 79 in (4,013 x 2,007 mm) cutting area, about 32% longer and wider than the 120 x 60 in (3,048 x 1,524 mm) of the LZR 3015
- Same 119 in (3,023 mm) machine width as the LZR 3015, so the larger bed takes extra floor length only
- Fiber laser source at 6 kW, 12 kW or 20 kW
- Head repositions at 3,900 in/min (99.1 m/min) in X and Y, with an automatic nozzle changer listed
Limitations
- Workpiece weight stays at 4,400 lb (1,996 kg) although the bed is larger than that of the LZR 3015, so heavy plate may not be able to cover the full area
- At 398 in (10,109 mm) the machine is long; the LZR 3015 is 342 in (8,687 mm)
- Flow's table states no thickness capacity for any of the three power levels

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The LZR 4020 cuts 158 x 79 in (4,013 x 2,007 mm); the LZR 3015 cuts 120 x 60 in (3,048 x 1,524 mm). The machine grows from 342 in (8,687 mm) on the LZR 3015 to 398 in (10,109 mm) in length, while the width is 119 in (3,023 mm) on both.
02
Up to 4,400 lb (1,996 kg). The limit is no higher than on the smaller LZR 3015, so with thick plate the weight can become the constraint before the 158 x 79 in (4,013 x 2,007 mm) area does. Work out the weight of your largest, thickest plate before ordering.
03
Yes. Flow lists an automatic nozzle changer for this machine, alongside Windows-based CNC software. The table does not say how many nozzles the changer holds, so ask if your work switches often between materials and thicknesses.
