Overview
The Palmary OCA-3265H is the 650 mm (25.6 in) version of Palmary's wide-wheel CNC plunge cylindrical grinder. It swings Ø320 mm (12.6 in), grinds to Ø300 mm (11.8 in) and carries 150 kg (331 lb) between centers.
A longer plunge grinder is for shafts with more than one wide seat. With 1,200 mm (47.2 in) of table stroke the wheel can plunge at one position, traverse at 10 m/min (394 ipm) and plunge again, all within a single clamping. The table feed is a 1.4 kW (1.9 hp) AC servo and the wheelhead feed 2.5 kW (3.4 hp), with a 0.001 mm minimum setting unit on X.
Palmary's page makes two claims about the grinding end that the table does not repeat. The wheel drive is variable frequency and, Palmary says, can reach a cutting speed of up to 60 m/s; the table's linear velocity row gives 33 m/s (6,496 ft/min). And the wheel spindle is described as taking a wheel up to 125 mm wide, where the table gives 80 mm with 150 mm optional. The motor is 11 kW (14.8 hp).

Slides are hydro-static, the tailstock is a taper fine adjustment type, and the control is a FANUC CNC that Palmary describes as conversational.
