Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Machitech Fiber Tube XL 60' L - 14" Ø that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Machitech Fiber Tube XL 60' L - 14" Ø is the smallest of three tube and profile lasers in the Fiber Tube XL line. Its processing range is 0.8 - 13.2 in (20 - 350 mm), and it is the only model of the three that reaches down to small tube, since the next model up starts at a larger minimum size.
It is also the quickest in rotation. The chucks turn at 75 rpm, faster than on the two larger models, and on round tube with many holes around the circumference that figure sets the cycle. Positioning speed along the tube is 148 ft/min (45 m/min) on all three.
Load figures show the class of work. Linear load capacity is 68 lb/ft (100 kg/m) and workpiece weight 2,650 lbs (1,200 kg), so this is a machine for tube, light HSS and small open sections and not for heavy beam. Maximum profile length is 40 ft (12 m) in the spec table. Three chucks hold the material, which allows the tail of each length to be cut with close to no remnant.
Laser sources of 6 kW, 12 kW or 20 kW are offered, and wall thickness capacity depends on the source chosen. A 3D bevel head is optional and handles up to ±45°. Clamping adapts to each profile automatically, and loading and unloading are by cross-transfer conveyors inside a Class 1 enclosure.
None of this is small. The line is 105 ft (32 m), based on 40 ft unloading length, 26 ft (8 m) wide and 12.5 ft (3.8 m) high, and the machine weighs 66,100 lbs (30,000 kg) before the laser source, chiller and dust collector. Nesting is done in Lantek Flex3D.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Processing range of 0.8 - 13.2 in (20 - 350 mm), the only Fiber Tube XL for small tube
- Chuck rotation speed of 75 rpm, the fastest of the three models
- Three chucks for zero-tail cutting
- Laser sources of 6 kW, 12 kW or 20 kW
- Optional 3D bevel head for cuts up to ±45°
Limitations
- Linear load capacity of 68 lb/ft (100 kg/m) rules out heavy sections
- Workpiece weight is limited to 2,650 lbs (1,200 kg)
- The line is 105 ft (32 m) long and 26 ft (8 m) wide
- The bevel head is an option

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The processing range is 0.8 - 13.2 in (20 - 350 mm). Maximum profile length is 40 ft (12 m), linear load capacity 68 lb/ft (100 kg/m) and workpiece weight 2,650 lbs (1,200 kg).
02
It has the smallest processing range and the lowest load capacity, but the fastest chucks: 75 rpm. The two larger models take bigger and heavier profiles at a lower chuck speed. All three position at 148 ft/min (45 m/min).
03
The table lists 6 kW, 12 kW or 20 kW. Machitech states that wall thickness depends on laser power and material, and that focus compensation adjusts the laser focus height automatically.
04
Total length is 105 ft (32 m), based on 40 ft unloading length. Total width is 26 ft (8 m) and total height 12.5 ft (3.8 m). Machine weight is 66,100 lbs (30,000 kg), without laser source, chiller and dust collector.
