Overview
The Machitech Fiber Prime 5x10 is a compact fiber laser with automatic shuttle tables, built for sheet up to 122 in (3,100 mm) long and 63 in (1,600 mm) wide. It is offered with a 6 or 12 kW source and sits at the entry of Machitech's laser range, below the high-power Fiber Prime S.
Power decides what it cuts. With 6 kW the maker's table gives mild steel to 1 in (25 mm) and stainless steel to 0.75 in (20 mm). With 12 kW mild steel, stainless and aluminum all reach 1.5 in (40 mm). Copper and brass stay thin at either power, 0.25 in (6 mm) and 0.3 in (8 mm) at 6 kW. Those are maximum figures, and production thickness is normally well inside them.
Acceleration is 1.5 G and rapid speed 5,500 ipm (140 m/min). The cutting head is a Precitec ProCutter with motorized focus adjustment. Two motor driven shuttle tables exchange automatically, and a one-click startup runs material exchange, edge detection and cutting as one sequence. A side access door and built-in drawers give access to parts.
