How much does the Ermak Fibertube cost?

Price estimate

Uncertain

We do not have a price for the Ermak Fibertube that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.

Ermak Fibertube — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Ermak Fibertube that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Ermak or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The Ermak Fibertube is a tube and profile laser with automatic loading and unloading. According to its specification table it cuts round tube from Ø20 to Ø120 mm, square profile from 20x20 to 120x120 mm and rectangular profile from 20x20 to 80x120 mm, with an IPG YLS 2000 resonator.

Material is loaded in lengths of 3,000 to 6,300 mm from a bundle loader rated for 4,000 kg (8,818 lb). Finished parts up to 4,500 mm (177.2 in) long are unloaded automatically, and the piece left in the chuck is 150 mm (5.9 in). The loading limit per metre is 20 kg/m, which rules out heavy-wall sections.

Wall thickness is where a 2,000 W class source sets the limits: 10 mm in mild steel, 4 mm in stainless steel and 3 mm in aluminium. That covers furniture tube, frames and light structural profile.

The machine has 13 axes. The chuck travels 7,110 mm in X at up to 90 m/min and 1 G, and both rotary axes accelerate at 70 rad/s². Positioning accuracy is ±0.03 mm/m.

It is a large cell at 13,480 x 4,750 x 3,120 mm and 25,000 kg (55,115 lb). The control is a Beckhoff CP6242 and the table names Lantek Flex3D as CAD/CAM software. Note that the descriptive text on Ermak's page quotes larger tube sizes than the table; this page follows the table.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What tube sizes does the Ermak Fibertube cut?

The specification table lists round tube Ø20 - Ø120 mm, square profile 20x20 - 120x120 mm and rectangular profile 20x20 - 80x120 mm. Loading lengths run from 3,000 to 6,300 mm.

02 What wall thickness can it handle?

With the IPG YLS 2000 resonator the table gives a maximum of 10 mm in mild steel, 4 mm in stainless steel and 3 mm in aluminium. Assist gases are oxygen for steel and nitrogen or dry air for the others.

03 How is material loaded and unloaded?

A packed material loader holds up to 4,000 kg (8,818 lb), and tubes of up to 20 kg/m are fed automatically. Parts up to 4,500 mm long are unloaded to one side while scrap goes to a separate compartment by conveyor.

04 Which control and software does it use?

A Beckhoff CP6242 CNC with a 15 inch touch screen, alphanumeric keyboard and PLC keys. The table names Lantek Flex3D as the CAD/CAM software, and the network connection is Ethernet and Wifi.

05 How much space does it need?

Machine dimensions are 13,480 x 4,750 x 3,120 mm and the weight is 25,000 kg (55,115 lb). Average consumption is listed as 30 kW.
